Hey all! In this video we talk about PlayStation 3 Emulation on Android. At this point in time, there is no legitimate working PS3 Emulator for Android devices. Hopefully we’ll see a change in the near future, but realistically it will be a ways off. (I hope I’m wrong!)

is nobody talking about how the watch_dogs screenshot on that ps3 emulator has "z" for profiler instead of square? (Or some other button i never played watch_dogs on play station)

With enough storage, using Winlator for Rpcs3 makes it easy to play Ps3 on Android.

My phone can run ps2 games quite well. Some spots drop on fps. I think within the next 5 years we will have phones that are capable of running ps3/4 games

Aethersx has come a long way as far as being user friendly. It use to be you really had to know the ins and out of emulators to get it to work well. Now it just auto configues pretty well and you can make tweaks as you like.

Ok thank you now i can clear some space for more ps2 games i downloaded god of war 3 with nearly 40 gb it was crazy it took two nights to download then the files looked so wierd unlike ps2 roms and my phone has only128gb could not find the 256 version so sad

Maybe when the emulator for pc will be completed then they'll be ready to begin coding for an arm version. This will happen maybe in 2030-2035, and then mobile soc power will be enough to support ps3 emulation without any problems. That's my hypothesis

Aethersx2 on android runs better then pcsx2 on windows.

Not surprising though since android has less overhead

So PS1 games come in the range of 200-500 megabytes. PS2 games come in the range of 1-4 gigabytes. PS3 games come in the range of 10-40 gigabytes. The average app size is that of the average PS3 game so I see no reason why a smartphone couldn't run a PS3 game.
