Twister will always be #1 on my list. It has everything a movie needs. A hero you love (Bill Paxton) and a protagonist you hate (Jonas Miller), plus tons of heart-pounding action!

But what I love the most is how the real storm chasers honored Bill Paxton when he he died from post-surgical complications. Nearly 200 storm chasers paid tribute on Sunday, Feb 26, 2017, to the late actor Bill Paxton by spelling out his initials using GPS coordinates on a map depicting the heart of Tornado Alley. It was centered around the real Wakita and took two hours to organize with the help of Daniel Shaw, a veteran storm chaser from Australia who created a Google Map with the coordinates needed to spell out the tribute. Storm chasers were able to participate from around the world by plugging in coordinates to match those needed to spell out Paxton's initials -- BP.
If you have not yet looked this up, please do so. I balled like a baby at the respect shown in this tribute to a beloved actor who only portrayed a storm chaser.

I still love The Perfect Storm! It happened when I was 11 and remember watching it on the news. Dante's Peak, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow, Volcano, Earthquake, and Deep Impact are some of my favorites, but Twister will always be my favorite!

Day after tomorrow better than 2012?? I like all 20 Movies on this List. But i would rate Everest and 2012 higher❤ And i agree Twister and Greenland have to be on that list too..I like Moonfall but i would give him the last place😂

I love disaster movies, except the core. I won't watch it, the trailer had me laughing so hard. I don't need to watch it for a good laugh. Armageddon is just as bad.

Fun fact: “the Birds” was partly influenced by a real situation that happened in 1961 in Capitola, California. Birds truly did go crazy, but it was later discovered there was a reason why: Toxic algae that formed. It got into the fish, and when the birds ate the fish, the algae poison them.

I’ve seen The Day After Tomorrow. I thought it was a really good movie. Crazy seeing basically every natural disaster that could possibly happen happen but they did it in a pretty believable way making it even more terrifying

I watched The Impossible for the first time about a year ago. My mom showed it to my sister and I. It was so good! And the fact that it’s based on a real life family is incredible. It was interesting that the whole movie is mainly just one family and watching them trying to find each other. But the miraculously they do.

The acid-lake scene in Dante's Inferno did for me. Traumatize is way too strong a word, but that scene upset me as a kid. I was really close to my grandma and watched it WITH her when I was about 7. I found it scary when the boat started dissolving because of the acid in the water, but it upset me when the grandmother jumped in the water and pushed the boat the the pier/shore to save the rest of them. Like, I know it was all her fault in the first place, but still.

20 years and i'm still scarred by dante's peak and that godsdamned lake.
as for the day after tomorrow, spectacular movie ut i became numb to it very quickly as my science teacher played it twice a month for 2-3 years in high school xD
twister is my all time fave and has been since it came out.

So they showed Volcano early and I was thinking for sure that they'd mention Donte's Inferno during it. They don't. I tell myself how dumb I am to even have that thought. 2 spots later they show Donte's Inferno and I remind myself how awesome I am.

Edit: Donte's Peak, I feel dumb again.

In The Core
Slow down the scene frame by frame where the pigeons are crashing into the windows... a fish slams into the window. It was slipped in by the FX crew to see if anyone would notice
