My exact thoughts on AVOWED I'm kinda bummed about the release date change but definitely understand it would do better in a less stacked season, and gives them more time to polish the game. I'm already liking gameplay and the world/environments it looks so fun, cannot wait to play this one.

ha! On a ps5….they are pushing monster hunter…why not use all the systems? Pc or xbox…perhaps… Maybe even use Nintendo to show off monster hunter wilds! Its going to be a great game, sadly capcom and square Enix needs to forget about Sony. Only holding the company back at this point
At this point, I have to wonder if developers INTENTIONALLY plan to maximize framerates and fix bugs AFTER release. I truly believe the old goal of ensuring a game is bug-free and fully optomized BEFORE it's released is a thing of the past. Now, it's more like, "Hurry and get the game out there making money… we'll fix it later… maybe."
High prices and this new "buy it now, maybe we'll fix it later" attitude are why I rarely buy games at release. Why? Why pay $70 or more when the price will fall significantly within six months and the patches fixing all the bugs will be out, too?
Ngl I'm pretty disappointed by Avowed now after hearing its stuck at 30fps and I'm not a huge fan of its art style and overall style. Just feels a bit outdated but I'm hoping to be proven wrong
30 fps is unplayable. I cannot understand how slow you have to be to keep playing games at a sub par frame rate
I was sold with Avowed since the first trailer and the second trailer even more cause it just looks amazing the graphics and combat and if u don't like the colours u can tune it down within 1 minute.. anyways great games coming to XB and i don't care if everything is coming to PC and PS ^^ the more investing in XB the better!
Besides XB is going full digital anyways and seeing how MS always was between product and service and between console and PC i wouldn't be surprised if XB connects everything so no more WALLS! Hey Teacher! Leave them kids ALONE! why not let people just choose the platform they like best with as much games as possible and play with as much other's as possible ?
Development costs are up and the quality of games goes down and one Online game after the other get it's plug pulled.. the current way with exclusivity isn't sustainable.. anyone who disagrees cares more about themselves and their platform than gaming in general so think about that when another studio closes and project is canceled while u promote exclusivity..

I wish avowed released this year. This year had been pretty empty of great games whereas next year looks to have loads (GTA 6, Doom the Dark Ages, Mafia, Borderlands, Monster Hunter, Fable, South of Midnight etc)

I've always gravitated towards the underdog, but this "new xbox game becomes even more exciting" but we might as well say "this new xbox and PS game becomes more exciting" and while we are at it Halo is probably in the works for PS. bleak times indeed.

Fun story about Wilds. My other half when watching the opening night went “why are the monsters so glitchy, they move weird! All jumpy”. Me: it’s probably 30fps. Lo and behold lol.
For me they could keep that zoid game it looks impressive but it's not for me I don't like games like that

Don’t get this 30fps games still this late into the next gen consoles so dumb every one went out to buy a ps5 and Xbox S/x and a new tv with hdmi 2.1 compatibility just for so called 4k120 but it can’t even handle 60fps just a joke

It has to be Capcom's tech that make them release these 30fps games without a performance mode. Too bad as most 30fps games are unplayable on my OLED tv.
It's good that Avowed was delayed. It's no longer within the stampede of games releasing at the end of the year. So it's a good way to start 2025, which also have some other heavy hitters.
Are you going to play Avowed on the Xbox or will you wait two months for the enhanced edition for PS5?

I will never understand the fixation on 60fps. If capping at 30fps lets a studio make the game they want to make, I’m 100% ok with that. My eyes can adjust.
On a consol, or even on pc. 30 fps vs 60 fps can be hard to tell apart if done right. There is a different when a game runs in 30 fps with unstable framerate. Then locked constant framrate. Its a bit more noticeable if you sit close up to the screen as a pc monitor. But for a tv and couch. You dont notice much in an action rpg.
Really looking forward to Avowed but I hate the fact that it took nearly five years from announcement to release. Made me get more and more jaded with each delay. But hopefully it turns out well.
I don't care about 60fps still looking forward to Monster Hunter Wilds. Play all my games in Quality mode
Just remember that gaming is for having fun and enjoying an experience. Doesn't matter if it's locked away or shared to another platform…
Just build PC to get all the games.
I'm gonna keep whining about this, but Avowed is the one exclusive they shouldn't have delayed.
It's their most unique game, and yet they pushed it back to make room for our "backlog?" I'm definitely not interested in any of the shooters or action games they've got scheduled, so looks like Avowed is the only upcoming game in interested in from MS right now.

Monster Hunter Wilds is looking damn good. I respect the work put into this game. I think this will be the first Monster Hunter game that I can really grt into this time. They REALLY stepped up their game with this entry. Im genuinely impressed with this one so far.
