I would actually pay Full AAA price for something like that
The problem is, that the advantage Snowrunner had in comparison to other games is melting away into thin air.
So is unreal engine 5.2 a game? Cause this is the first time hearing about it
Its not in-engine function, it was custom coded for event and they wont share that code. It means nothing to off road games at all. Chaos vehicle model is quite shit, you'd need completely custom model as in any other engine.
C++ will never die
I cannot wait for the unreal engine 5 games my dude especially next gen Off road games #earlysquad
I wish they'd focus less on insignificant stuff like granules of dust on the side of cars. Why is so much effort being spent on minute details we don't care about? They should concentrate on eliminating clipping, which remains a major immersion-breaker. The colours in UE5 also look horrible. I'm not intimately familiar with game development, but I think the same brain rot that infected the minds of DPs in Hollywood nearly two decades ago has seeped into the minds of game developers as well. I also dislike this “cinematic” style of gaming that has become so prevalent. We don't need the shaky cam, laboured movement and semi-interactive cutscenes. It doesn't add to the realism. It just slows games down and saps my enthusiasm to play.
Honestly, the whole industry is just wretched these days. I hate how every game feels the same. It's been like this for over a decade. I'm sick of infantile anime wankfests and their gaudy, garish colours. I'm sick of grey, post-apocalyptic wastelands. I'm sick of sprawling, open-world urban jungles. And I'm sick to fucking death of the dingy, desaturated aesthetic. It makes me want to puke. “Hey gamer fam, you pumped for the new Call of Honour Medal of Duty Gears of Thor League of Fortnite World of Witchcraft Dawn of Halo Kingdom of Skyrim Lord of War or what?!”
No, I most certainly am not. Cram your derivative, overpriced virgin fodder up your acne-pocked ass, you overpaid, underworked hacks.
What map is that?
That gameplay trailer for unreal engine 5.2 made me actually think it was just real life driving it was that realistic, awesome video tomcat, the spintires series has brought so much fun for us and I can't wait to see what they do for the future. #SNOWRUNNER
I think unreal engine would be good for snowrunner tc also riskys truck is so good hats off to risky exellent job
Unreal engine would be sick for offroading and modding but snowrunner devs wont use it, theyd rather keep using havok
SnowRunner runs one engine for physics and collision and Swarm for graphics. Talking about evolution for a future game I'd say work more in gameplay mechanics like, better coop, the ability to hook two winch points from two different player at the same vehicle, terrain changing their aspect and deformation according to the weather and a better-streamed line storytelling attached to contracts and task. SR lacks of reward once get a region done, Just Amur and Windcosin were able to pass some of this feeling. IMO, the most significant evolution was from MudRunner to SnowRunner in comparison with SpinTires and MudRunner, so I guess we may not see this considerable evolution difference from now to next. Still, I won't be made If I am wrong.
9:38 Yeah, I'm annoyed, and I haven't bought a stand-alone DLC truck (nor do I intend to) since the Brigadier. That's another thing that has to change whenever the sequel to Snowrunner releases, no more surprise DLCs, especially after announcing all future content would be included in the season pass. And if you're going to do it, at least be upfront about it at/before launch, none of this surprise $3.99-$5.99 DLC out of nowhere.
Regarding the next game engine, from the bits and pieces I've seen in this video of what Unreal Engine 5 can do, I'd be intrigued to see what the next title in the series could look like with it. Having my '54 Peterbilt running in-game with that kind of depth to it's paint, the lines between reality and the fictional world of a video game would be almost non-existent. Time will tell I suppose
ANYONE WATCHING SHOULD CHECK OUT REACTOR MOTORS
I don't know about every game being a evolution of the last. I love SnowRunner, but the vehicle physics feel like a step back from MudRunner. Look at how the K-700 felt felt like a big heavy tractor that could plow though any terrain as it should, and compare that to the K-700 in SnowRunner. You have a lot of trucks in SnowRunner that don't feel like they have any weight, that feel top heavy and flip over easily. And the maps, why is there some places in the game I can go with this massive lifted 4X4 vehicle that nowhere close to getting high center, and get stuck or be reduced to a crawl in like 2 inches of mud or snow?
In terms of content SnowRunner is a evolution, sure. But we shouldn't call SnowRunner a Evolution just because it's bigger then MudRunner. In terms of physics and gameplay SnowRunner was a step back from MudRunner.
So SnowRunner a bigger game then MudRunner, but it's not a evolution of it.
Ummm kinda already started working on this engine getting my self familiar with it.. I feel totally has the potential to host all of Sr just need the dev to be in on it.. would love to see SR transfer fro this engine.. not only that UE would give you both editor and game creator in one. Cant wait till they actually announce what there plan is for the future of the game.
Bro imagine if Offroad outlaws had real engine 5.2
I wish they make snowrunner 2 on the unreal engine 5.2 as well!!
I am surprised I haven’t seen the unreal engine video recommended yet. Thanks for showing this to us TC. Also do you have any idea what the new truck might be I’ve seen a few people say they think it will be the e429 from mudrunner. I think I got the right numbers lol.
CAN YOU Play hard mode
That makes runner look silly
Can you get the yeti trailer on Xbox one
Nice job TC

I’m so glad I have a ps5 right now
Oh I am beyond excited, about the unreal engine games.
Different style of missions instead of just delivery. For instance this fire dlc could’ve been having actually use the fire trucks. Fill water from water towers and put fires out with the after spreading from the hose. Or maybe a demolition where you use a beefed up truck to ram down buildings. Maybe even make a wrecking ball truck to take down the building. They could also do actual off road mechanics like taking off the off road planks to place under the tires to get out of mud and for god sakes are please bring back the mud that sticks to the tires so we can wash them off when we run through rivers
Awesome! I just picked up the gwc3500 on snow runner and I love it!
Dam unreal is looking amazing. This would change almost all car games
Do you know when John John hotrods new mod is coming to consoles
Focus should 100% remake Snowrunner in unreal 5. I will die if they do
