An arcadey 5th generation console throwback game with a ska soundtrack... that sounds like a POWERFUL distillation of the 90's, and if nothing else I'm interested in seeing what a friend of mine who's a superfan of that era will make of it. Thanks for the tip!

Ska music? I remember that two months it was popular back in the 90s. Love the PS1 level graphics combined with a smooth frame rate. The smooth frame rate is something i would have liked to have with racers on that old hardware.

Yeah, could have been interesting to either try to ram or avoid the other racers, but still, this does seem like an interesting idea. As for the question, can't honesty think of any Sega racing games I've played from that time, so don't think I've got an answer for that.

To make this an authentic parking garage experience, there should be huge bonus points for parking so close to another car that there's no way they can open the driver side door and have to stand there waiting for you to come back in order to leave.

Racing time attack against ghost A.I opponents is not a bad thing in this case because:
1. It's a rally game and that's how things usually work.
2. The tracks are far too narrow to fit other racers competing at the same time.

Maybe you could do a segment of Playstation Review Crew and go over the Time Splitters games coming to the service? I dunno. It's an idea lol

QOTD - Um how about all of 'em? Is that a legit answer? Seriously. I don't think I've met a Sega racing game I didn't like. Outrun. Virtua Racing, Sega Rally, Daytona USA, etc. They're all great!

No doubt - the fact that you’re only racing against ghost cars kills this game for me. It’s why I don’t like traditional rally games - if I’m just racing the clock, it’s no fun. Gotta be trading paint with other cars.

Heard the devs plan on making an ACTUAL Saturn version of the game did well enough
QOTD: hands down, Daytona USA it’s between that and whatever initial D that’s being peddled in west recently but I cannot argue with the classics. It’s Daytona baby~
