15 Embarrassing Scenes Johnny Depp Had To Film

When you’re sailing the seven seas, things can’t get a bit messy! Johnny Depp had his fair share of slip-ups, flubs, and embarrassments when filming all the movies in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
One of his all-time most awkward experiences on set involved kissing a much younger co-star. We’re talking half his age, younger. Then there was some improv that went haywire – but it happened to be a complete genius at the same time. The actor caught everyone on set totally off guard in an embarrassingly wild improv – but the camera wound up loving it and it was kept in the movie.
Memorizing all those lines is hard work, so Depp had to have a little bit of help on set. It came in the form of an earpiece and a sound engineer who was feeding him lines throughout. It didn’t always help him though since the actor still lost some lines, especially when it came to names. To be fair, he had some unique ship and character names to keep track of. As much as knowing the lines is important, being able to say them presents an extra struggle for all involved! The actor missed his mark a few times – including once when he had a sword in hand and let’s just say, it was an awkward time on set for everyone – especially his scene partner!
