Important genres missing: horror and Western . Add PSYCHO (1960) and STAGECOACH (1939). Indelible and influential.

Can't we have Charlie Chaplin's Goldrush and Modern Times in this list??

Erm...Rebecca instead of Vertigo? Erm...no The Day the Earth Stood Still? And Sunset Blvd. as only an honorable mention? Like that you highlight 3 Wilder films, if two only as honorable mentions. Appreciate that limiting it to 10 is a hard task.

Never liked West Side Story, the singing was too fake in Natalie Woods and I didn’t like all the gang part of the story.

I agree on you're list .....Casablanca for me was the same ....knew of the film, saw bits and pieces and then one day decided to watch the whole movie on TCM and loved it and finally saw on the big screen in a old theater that was celebrating it 100 plus years being around, the theater was packed, and enojed every minute of it .....one of my top favorite movie experience

This is a great list, if somehow it could include It’s a Wonderful Life on the main list, and add Night of the Hunter as well, then it’d be close to perfect for me. Imagine if Charles Laughton wasn’t emotionally destroyed by the commercial failure of Night of the Hunter, what he could have achieved as a director.

@yasser3268 August 21, 2024 - 11:30 am
One thing to think about The Wizard Of Oz is that, this film was released around 5 days before the world war 2 happened

There should be the guns of navarone, man from del rio and unforgiven of clint Eastwood

All time favorite was an honorable mentioned Philadelphia Story, true classic. Citizen Kane? 👎 And Gene Kelly was such a melodramatic he put Debbie Reynolds, who'd never danced before, through so much heck she was almost hospitalized.
@raghavshete2425 August 21, 2024 - 11:30 am
No Ben Hur?
@lilithsmith1290 August 21, 2024 - 11:30 am
You sound like you working for TCM . I start watching TCM some of the movies from old times shocking , .they did take head line and starched for 1/5 with the nerve scratching music. Or the western was triable .and some of the movie’s actors were so overrated like Betty Davis. And God they drink like fish and smoke like chimney, and killing is standard in the movies. West side story was great ,my fair Lady , great scape, Dirty Dozen , Gown with the Wind , Sound of Music, Sweet Charity , anything with Shirley McLine James Stewart Gregory Pack Gable Merlin M . Spencer Tracy Paul Newman Elizabeth T.

@patriot4america August 21, 2024 - 11:30 am
West Side Story isn't of the same time period as the rest and should not be on this list. Great movie though.
@rajeshvhanbatte8907 August 21, 2024 - 11:30 am
Do they come with Hindi subtitles
@anupacharya8731 August 21, 2024 - 11:30 am
