I like the movie twister but I can tell you from experience it's not realistic I lived through the 06 tornado that hit southeast Missouri and it's nothing like the movie if you have doubts look it up there's plenty of videos on here about it I was home behind the high school that was destroyed

I remember the “The Disaster Movie Era” , not the “Twister”, “Armageddon” one but the “Earthquake!”, “The Towering Inferno” (1970s) one.
I’m super old, saw it at the theatre when I was a kid! 😁
Loved them!
I almost cried when that girl “died”…she was pretty hot after all.

@4:11 i remember the Northridge earthquake very clearly, i was only 11 years old but it put the free of God in me for the rest of my life for earthquakes. I had a twin sized waterbed farm with a twin sized mattress in the box and a big headboard that almost landed on me , luckily the earthquake was so hard it kicked me out of my bed landing on my Cousins that were spending the night...

The Poseidon adventure did happen. At least my mom told me the movie was based on true events…(not sure how true that is because I wasn’t born until 1980) and the other ones…yeah all those could happen and that’s what makes them so good…

Reminiscence, while not a disaster movie, the distant future, in which people of Miami traded cars and shoes for boats and boots, is pretty realistic and scary to the possibility of embracing the effects of climate change.

I have seen San Andreas, Greenland, The Titanic, AND The Impossible. I’m surprised that wasn’t on the list, although it is a true story, it should’ve been on here. I also have seen Don’t Look Up, that was the most depressing movie, and when did we watch it? RIGHT on New Year’s Eve, we started out 2022 by watching THAT particular film.
