Wing Chun master and martial-arts instructor Master Wong rates eight Wing Chun fights in movies, such as “Ip Man” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” for realism.
Wong breaks down the accuracy of Wing Chun techniques and weapons in “Sherlock Holmes” (2009), “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” (2021), and “Ip Man” (2008) and “Ip Man 3” (2015), featuring Donnie Yen. He explains defense and attack combinations in “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F'” (2015) and “Bangkok Dangerous” (2008), featuring Nicolas Cage. He also looks at the history of Wing Chun in “Wing Chun” (1994), featuring Michelle Yeoh, as well its influence on Bruce Lee in “The Way of the Dragon” (1972).
Wong has been a Wing Chun practitioner for the past 35 years. He teaches Wing Chun, tai chi, and Jeet Kune Do as well as other self-defense techniques through his YouTube channel and online courses.

just as an advice wing chung is mostly an defensive martial art,so if u want ot train for it u should pick another sport alongside it,its not very good if its just this style alone only on non trained people.
If this guy thinks all Karate is long range strikes clearly he has never heard of Kyokushin Karate before. Making a statement like that is a novice level mistake no question about it. He might know something of his own style but clearly he knows next to nothing about other styles.
Idk if it’s heavy accent but did my mans say he was training wing chun first 75 years 💀 im sure it meant 7 to 5 years
I like what he say? I give 10/10 to Bruce Lee cos he's my Idols
So interesting to hear him say about Karate being long distance and short distance being little use. I always wondered by I felt so comfortable at further ranges when I tried MMA than close ranges. Makes sense now. I was completely comfortable at longer distance with my kicks and distance punches, but close up I would completely rely on my BJJ and Judo and completely throw away my Karate, pretty much.
12:48 STAAAR FINNGERRRR!
I appreciate how oblivious people still are to Wing Chun.
Can't go wrong with Master Wong.
I have in in my Facebook!!
Wing Chin doesn't work
This man's energy and accent GIVE ME LIFE 😁😁👍🏾
I watch DragonBall Z all the time and I never never knew that Whis from DragonBall Z used Wing Chun
His accent just makes it 100 times better..
the problem is the 1st video is not wing chun kungfu movie.
Martial art is useless, just like any other fighting style, infront of a Gun.
Bro got that black father look , was not expecting that voice lmao
Could you review the fight between Jet Li and Donnie Yen in "Hero?" I know they use weapons, but I hope you'll review this fight in the future.
Omg master Wong! i subbed to his channel.
I noticed at around 0:59 he said Bagua (as in baguazhang or pa kua), but they captioned it bajiquan. They are both part of the same school of Chinese martial arts, but are different from each othwr.
The amount of energy radiating out of this man is a breath of fresh air.
This man is good…….More him please…..
when the name is Master Wong,, then we talk about the real thing……not Wong IT's master wong
It’s funny because Donnie Yen is actually classed as an expert in Wing Chun
14:37 – 10/10 Because he IS Bruce Lee
If wing chun works, it's when master wong does it
This guy is so annoying
This Master's energy is intoxicating. He needs to be more in fight choreography.
"My name is 'master' wong" In the first seconds, we have the first red flag of the scammers.
Wish they showed Donnie Yen’s plane fight in XXX 3
With his accent I kept expecting him to say something about the mandem
First of all Donnie Yen is Fake
This is the realest Master I've ever seen.
This guy looks so lame when he fights
I did not expect analyzing a Dragon Ball Z anime fight. 😀 This is awesome!
Wong is such a tool.
Yuen Biao, Sammy Hung, Jackie Chan, if you want a movie with the 'Three Brothers' – 'Wheels on Meals' 👌
Robert Downey junior is entirely weak anyways but still thanks for the Sensei analyse
damn you! i want some chinese spare ribs!
shoulda had him react to naruto vs momoshiki
"pretend fighter rates performance art and acts like its fighting" there, fixed that title for ya.
Always think to myself all these videos on self defense when in reality if I just hit someone in the nuts the it’s Ggs
F-n dope
I love you brother glad to see you!!!!!
0:55 Oh so I've been saying "BajiQuan" in the wrong way huh? Geez that's embarrassing
love how he says krate
Restrict caffeine sir.
only one movie portrayed WC correctly, its called The Prodigal Son. with Yuen Biao. I don't care ip man 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 those movie portayed it in a hollywood fashion. Not realistic. Im not saying the fights are realistic in ANY of those movies, but im saying that in Prodigal Son they portrayed the proper WC techniques the way they were supposed to be applied. After all those are movies, not documentaries.
If I remember right Ip Man's brand of Wing Chun did include high kicks
