There is an easy explanation for a lot of this. It was a different time, and different times have different moral standards.
Different levels of racism. Different audience with different expectations and limits. A movie like Robocop or Rambo or Demolition Man wouldn't even be allowed in todays society. Because we have all become pussified over time. Well I haven't. I still watch those movies. And the woke mob can get bent.

Aladdin is way more disturbing than that.. if you watch TWISTED, then you'll see them pick apart nearly everything that's wrong with it.
And Aladdin, for one, is a literal thief that is being glorified as a main character.
Not to mention the part at the balcony where you can hear someone say "Take off your clothes!"

I never liked watching Disney animations as a kid. Though I was growing up in Asian, these Disney classics were all available and popular , but I remembered that as a kid I was mostly surrounded by stories that are either funny, or brilliant or educational. However, when it comes to Disney animations, I just could not find any of those three qualities , neither did I understand what their ’ catches ‘ were ( I guess they are suppose to be emotional for some viewers? Sadly I couldn’t be moved as a child because I had no ego or lust at that age ), on top of that I did not favour the art style.

What about rating books before then become a movie, or video game ?

Hunger games books should be rated R ,or MA for something not good for YouTube. You still take your Children to see a Hunger Game movie because it was PG13?
