Actor Akili McDowell, who appeared in ‘Billions’ and ‘David Makes Man’, was arrested and charged with theft and murder in relation to a deadly shooting in Houston, Texas. Akili McDowell had his first big break at the age of 16 in 2019’s ‘David Makes Man,’ in which he played the title role. The series aired on OWN and was executive produced by Michael B. Jordan and Oprah Winfrey.

Yes, everyone should be innocent until proven guilty. He has the right to mount a defense and ultimately be judged by a jury. That being said, the best that we can do is focus on the Peralta family who lost a family member to gun violence.
