Shannen Doherty, who’s been battling stage 4 cancer since 2020, alleges that her ex Kurt Iswarienko is purposefully slowing down divorce proceedings to avoid paying spousal support before she dies. Shannen filed for divorce from Kurt in April 2023 after 11 years of marriage. At the time, her rep explained to E! News that the decision was born out of necessity, saying, “Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option.”

But I've discovered that there's always a solution to every problem. Five years ago, my wife and I were facing divorce because of issues in our marriage, but we managed to resolve them. It was challenging, but we made it through.

Why does everyone believe everything that come out of her mouth. SHE filed for divorce and he needs to kiss her @ss until she feels better. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and filed last year, maybe you should’ve stayed. Funny how People magazine was able to get his financial information and he doesn’t make that much.

Very complicated scenario. Many selfish people in this scenario would want to carry on with their life while their ex partner deals with health issues.
It's a moral dilemma.
People tend to value their past relationships less in this day and age.

Shouldn't SAG-AFTRA have a pension for actors who fall ill and cannot work, so that their basic needs are met? They get MILLIONS from so many actors making bank, is insane they can't even take care of their own, what's the point of being a member if you're simply deadweight if you cannot perform?
I mean, look at all the legendary actors who have stopped working because of age and illnesses, they're mostly lucky because they're probably legacy actors with children and grandchildren who are and can take care of them and their bills.
Can you imagine Kirk Douglas or Sutherland not having their kids to make sure they had dignified living conditions during their last years of their lives?
