Welcome to our first-time watching as we react to Alien vs. Predator (2004). We finally got to see two of the most iconic extraterrestrial species clash in an ancient battle that takes place beneath the Antarctic ice.

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, this film gave us some pretty cool fighting sequences between the Predators and the Xenomorphs with the human characters being stuck right in the middle of all of it!

The climactic battles between the Alien Queen and the Predator warriors was such a cool thing to witness and we also really enjoyed some of the additional lore we got in this film.

We hope that you enjoy our reactions, commentary and review as we discuss the long rivalry between the Alien and the Predator species, how cool it was to see a shield and a spear made out of the carcass of a Xenomorph and how terrifying it would be to see a Predator/Xenomorph hybrid which by the way, it was teased by the end of this film.

Not as popular but I really like Aliens vs. Predator Requiem (2007) , I especially like the way the hybrid reproduces in the hospital maternity ward ......

The next part, Requiem, Continues from where this movie leaves off. I actually prefer Requiem over this one as it goes back to the "old style". This was not a bad film, but all us fans were disappointed that we never got Marines and the future.

Did you know that the male predator likes to play with there prey. Rather then the female predator who is more brutal and stronger then the male predators. I would love to see it some day in a movie

There is a sequel. It isn’t as good but it’s ok. That is where the PredAlien wrecks havoc and a Predator who is the “cleaner” has to clean up the mess and leave no evidence.

I know I’m late to this and a lot of people have already said to stay away from it, but I recommend watching Alien vs Predator Requiem just to watch Wolf in action. He’s such a badass Predator and I think you guys would love his design as well as the Predalien. If you guys choose to not watch it that’s cool, just thought I’d try to plead a case (even if I do have my problems with the movie).

Well, there's this little thing called AVP: Requiem....it may or may not grant your wish, along with some other disturbing visuals. Just saying, it might be worth a look.

i think lex and scar have a pretty cool relationship. i think they did some stuff with lex in the expanded universe comics thats kinda cool as well.

There's a community dedicating to hating Paul WS Anderson the director. They enjoy hating this.

There's a sequel AVP2 Requiem which is almost universally loathed.

So there is a sequel to this and it's terrible, i'd suggest skip it. Instead watch "Predators" with Adrien Brody.

Saying the movie was badly written is like saying McDonald's isn't quality. You're right, but it's unnecessary to point out, a valid criticism would be if McDonald's took forever to give you your food, being a fast food chain. Likewise, a crossover movie like this, mentioning it's flaws like poor character development undermines it's purpose, which was very intentionally just being fun to watch and fanservice.

I am actually played Mortal Kombat X. There you can choose Alien and the Predator as well ;) Also there is a alternate costume for Jax - Dillon Jax! Awesome battles..

i was a fan of AvP back when they did it in the 90's in the comics, which without, this likely wouldn't exist. these films are just good clean fun. and i love em.

So many people hated this, I loved it, more so after the garbage that was Requium. Too many movies are relying too heavy on the brand rather than write a good story

Team Predator here. I never watched the movie because while the action looked cool, the movie looked stupid. That was 20 years ago. Now, I think it would be just fun to watch the fight scenes. It sort of adds to the lore of each. More dessert than meat. But, that's okay once in a while.

Predators don't kill unarmed opponents so once it disarmed weyland it was about to kill him before realizing he was sick. They hunt to prove themselves worthy and killing a sick opponent does nothing to show worthiness, so he was leaving him alone till he attacked

One Quick note is that the Humans were not supposed to unlock the weapons, the Hunt was supposed to start when the predators got to the centre of the pyramid and got their weapons.

They got alerted on their map what happened and panic ran in as they knew they were at a disadvantage. Hence why 2 of the 3 died in the first encounter.

These were rookie predators proving themselves. All of them failed.

Sadly, the next movie with the predalien was just the worst. Unwatchable. You might as well be watching a black screen for two hours.

You are at the crossroads. Do the xenomorphs and predators exist in the same universe? Or do you go the Prometheus path which the xenomorphs were created AFTER humankind reaches the stars? I myself prefer the former.....
