A classmate of mine passed away and at her viewing she was totally butchered, she was barley recognizable.. The artist put an off color dark eyeshadow on her, cut her hair short, and she had no color on her lips or skin, it’s not like she even wore makeup, but this artist did a great job with making this woman look asleep! I just wish she could’ve been the artist for my classmate.

this is why I want to be a mortician. I have always wanted to help people in a way, and I view death as important as life. I want those who part to be remembered how they were on Earth and send them off with respect and love. I honestly cant wait to start training! For any current morticians, any advice? Currently a junior in college, just wanting to swap majors to start mortician work!

I'm soo sorry for your loss i know the feeling but i don't know how you feel i do know the feeling of losing someone very special u can always replace money u can't replace a life 💔 😢my oldest sister passed away in 2016 i cry everyday dam day we only miss our family members when they are dead why not miss them while they are here on earth and now day's funerals are the new family reunion!!😢😢😢😢😥💔

You did an awesome job, and I can only speak for myself. But this would have lifted my Spirit. For the people that say you come into the world with no makeup. My question is, why would a newborn baby need makeup ? Less than an hour old, really? Not that a dead person needs makeup. But it's a loving memory, I would not have liked to see my mother dead and sick looking. But beautiful and asleep. To each it's own.
