Isn't it ironic that Diana Taurasi claimed that Catlin was only impressive because she'd been playing against 18 year olds in college, but now she was going to face the women in the WNBA. Then it turns out Diana Taurasi only looks good because she's been playing in a league populated with sloppy street-ballers. They claim the WNBA is a very physical game, but that's just a euphemism for a lot of brawling.
All said and done, Catlin's game is a combination of skill, finesse, comprehension of the action going on around her. Whereas the WNBA is a bunch of women running back and forth, packing up under the hoop, and shooting over and over until it finally goes in. Then they run down to the other side of the court and repeat the cluster fu*k. They've been boring potential fans for 25 years, and on the whole, aren't capable of playing up to Catlin's level.
If one of these roughnecks hurts Catlin to a degree where she misses games, or the rest of the season, viewership and funding will dry up overnight. There's plenty of other white players in the WNBA, what they're really jealous of is her professional level of talent.

LOL…. DT was put on the Olympic Team just so she could get her token 6th Gold medal !!! They lost out on millions of dollars in viewership for that - CC being there would have also brought countless new sponsors which means money for the WNBA !!! 🤷🏻

women are soo petty and vindictive especially towards other women, making irrationally / emotional decisions regardless of the facts.
taurasi is a big example of a non team player her stats never reflect team assists and she still doesn't have that high of a score stat in the 2pt or 3pt ranges. so why does she think she is such a great player.

just more reasons i have no interest in the wmba.

Never been interested in Womans Basketball! Was going to check out this Catlin girl in the Olympics but HEY!! WHERE IS SHE?? I was told it was a decision made by a Coach and a bunch of retired men's players?? My favorite female athletes are on a Tennis Court. I might check out Womans basketball again in about a dedecade. Maybe they'll have it together then.

From an Australian perspective who started watching WNBA recently initially because of Clark… I just find the comments on this channel and in the posts quite disrespectful to your greats of the game. I get being annoyed at them if you don’t agree with their selections but you can communicate that without the name calling and disrespectful language… DT has won you a number of gold medals in the past, at least show some respect in the way you reference her… I think the USA seems to take their athletes for granted and feel they are there for your entertainment.. and to make your own living out of. Perhaps challenge yourselves to respectfully disagree with decisions.
