It was an ok movie, but the threesome scene between J.D-bag, and the two hotel lobby couches was a little gratuitous.

Bit late on the scene ,but I’ve just seen this it’s very very watchable.Close was brilliant ,in fact the best role I’ve seen her in.The lad who played JD needs complimenting on his acting to.

This movie is so relatable to me. The dysfunctional family dynamics aside, the author’s struggle to escape the shackles of his origin hit hard. You can move far from the place of your childhood, you can try to explore the world and do great things but something would bring you back to where you came from, many a times it would be an annoyance or frustration but sometimes it also becomes an anchor that keep us grounded. That struggle of duality and living a life of contrast hit home to me.

This movie is an amazing example of human spirit, to achieve a better life if one is driven to work for it. So many people will relate to this suffering, poverty and hopelessness that JD & his sister endured.
Inspiring to say the least.

I think they are trying to hide his past. I'm not buying it. Who changes their name 3 times? He switched it from "James Donald" to "James David" because he hated "Donald”? Why did he switch religion? What faith will his children follow? Leaked emails show that he hates police. Americans deserve to know the truth, I think he is a trojan horse.

I started watching at 2:30 AM thinking I would watch a few minutes and come back the next day. I could not stop and watched till the end. Incredible movie and story. It shows we all have flaws, we all have issues, but what we choose to do with those makes all the difference.
