The fact that 50 Shades is only number 9…
Interesting
I watched nymphomaniac back in 2015 when i finished school
Highly dissappointing … 50 shades (promised nudity and sex scenes but did not deliver). Total Rubbish … Trainspotting (idiots being stupid), Team America (nothing worth watching here, not even funny). Nymphomaniac, interesting but too depressing. Those are the only three (I do not count Team America as I walked out on it) on this list I have seen. But they all seem to be crap movies. Can you not list a few decent movies on a list of this sort?
If you can't watch these movies in public then it wouldn't be on planes in flight entertainment system 😂😂😂
THAT MOVIE IS SCARY!
YOU CAN'T WATCH IT IN PUBLIC!
#10: Taxi Driver (1976)
#9: Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)
#8: Trainspotting (1996)
#7: Gummo (1997)
#6: Don John (2013)
#5: American History X (1998)
#4: Team America: World Police (2004)
#3: Nymphomaniac (2013)
#2: Requiem for a Dream (2000)
#1: Pink Flamingos (1972)
Surprised not to see Secretary.
I watched Trainspotting with my classmates at my teacher's place, when I was 13.
American history X is such a good film, so tragic.
I watched Pink flamingos with my friends, RIP Divine
I’d have serious doubts about anyone watching American Pie in the company of strangers or close family. Excruciatingly awkward..
Boogie Nights????!!
Requim for a dream
Is one of the best movies I've seen it can help people to come out of addiction if shown
What about sausage party not exactly family film
American History X is tame compared to the rest
I watched Red Sparrow with Jennifer Lawrence on a flight to Paris. It was a hot mess but not nice I started it, I just accepted the madness.
Honorable mentions:
Eraserhead
Antichrist (also by von Trier)
The Holy Mountain and almost all of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s filmography
Ana: “What’s that?”
Christian: “My playroom”
Ana: “Like X-Box, and stuff?”
Christian: “You’ve got one, and I’m opening it tonight “
The way, in which Mr. Grey’s name is incongruous with his personality cracks me up. If Erica Mitchell/ E. L. James was going for irony, then well-played
I'm surprised "Eyes Wide Shut" wasn't on the list.
I once went on a first date to see the General's Daughter. Should have done research first.
Oh my gosh I am so glad that they said pink flamingos as number one! The whole time I was thinking to myself, " if pink flamingos is not on this list then clearly ask emojo doesn't watch enough movies or do enough research because pink flamingos is the most disgusting, offensive, over the top and filthy movie of all time and I absolutely love it! I even have a poster of pink flamingos the cover photo on my wall. Pink flamingos is one of those movies where even if you're having a party if you put it on within 20 minutes the whole party will be silent and watching in horror as the movie is so outrageously disgusting and offensive that it's impossible to not look away."
Yeah, i have to agree, these are the movies I shouldn't watch in public, in fact, I shouldn't watch these movies in general
what is your problem? As an adult I've been watching almost all this movies in cinema. And I'm ok. Kids don't listen to this stupid moral ranking.
In no particular order the choices shouldve been:
The Exorcist, Bully, Nymphomaniac, Showgirls, Precious, Red Rocket, Jungle Fever, The Wolf Of Wall Street, White Girl & 12 Years A Slave. Those are just 10 but there are definitely others. Brokeback Mountain would be another one, I'd also add The Ghosts Of Mississippi, Sleepers, American Me, Menace To Society, Donnie Darko, Alpha Dog, Kids, Midnight Cowboy, The Witch, Last Tango In Paris, The Black Swan, American Psycho, Portrait Of A Serial Killer, Monster, Monsters Ball, Thirteen, Shame, Bound, The Passion Of The Christ, Last Tenptation Of Paris, Unfaithful, In The Cut
A Serbian Film (2010). Best watched alone.
I have to say, Requiem For A Dream was the most depressing movie I've ever seen. Just totally depressing.
I am a film buff from way back, and I will never watch any John Waters movie. I have only seen a few of these(Requiem, Taxi Driver, Team America). Others on the list never interested me at all except maybe Don Jon(Scarlett johansson).
Just pop in the Maniac remake on a first date, I guarantee it'll go well 👍.
who would wanna watch any movie in public tho
I LITERALLY did chose Requiem for a Dream for a family movie night lol. But because it's such an amazing and powerful movie, and it was just me, my brother and my parents, there were no kids there.
I would have included Meet the Feebles.
My husband and I saw Pink Flamingos twice in public because we saw it when it came out before videos. We saw it twice because we took one of his friends to see it
It’s not romantic, Christian is a stalking sadist
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom should be on the list. There is a lot of scenes that will cause a lot of people to lose their lunch. I also feel that Steven Spielberg's moivies Schindler's List and Class of 61 should both be on here. Though they are historically important, both movies will give children nightmares, as well as some adults.
I would have added 'Velvet Goldmine' to the list. I could never watch this film with anyone. I had to wait until I was alone in the house or closed the door to my room when I want to watch it. I loved the music.
No mention of "LIE WITH ME"?!!!!!!!!🤔
Sausage party?
What Happened to "Kids"? …
What a great list! Thanks for including the likes of Taxi Driver and American History and others so it wasn't just a top 10 list of movies with sex scenes. And yeah mentioning what makes some of this movies truly bad would definitely get you demonitized lol.
In an era when live TV shows mobs of racists storming the Capitol, hijacked planes destroying skyscrapers and Today Show hosts being fired for sexual lewdness, who needs shocking, crude, violent movies?
Amazing video watch mojo of movies that should watch alone behind closed doors, fantastic job.
Irreversible should be here, that was one of the hardest viewing movies I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them.
What about Basic Instinct?
If you’ve seen these movies in theaters, you HAVE seen them in public.
Noooo !! The first place should be CRUISING with al pacino …because in its movie poster stars him…when i was 12 my parents always took me to r- rated gangsta movies , chuck norris ,burt reynolds, charles bronson etc so my folks were actor focused …cause they were cool and fun but i think CRUISING should be 1st place cause my parents would if made a mistake to take to the movies ohh because al pacino stars in it yeah !!!! But with its alternative harsh gaay lifestyle my parents would of been furious not pink flamingo that poster looks more obvious and devine mmmm nahh !!
Me and my cousin went to the theaters to see 50 Shades and the best part were the 2 old ladies that kept giggling a couple of rows down from us
