Check out our updated version of this list, where we look at the Top 20 Dance Scenes in 80s Movies: https://youtu.be/Sa1Ik6GsQFs
Its good to see.that at least one scene from one of the break dancing movies was included; they always seem to be ignored(how can you go into 80's dancing and forget breakdancing?!) That being said, I would add more: the broom dance scene and the end scene(Street Jazz) from the first Breakin', the fund raising performance from Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo. And defiintely the Roxy battle from Beat Street, as well as the subway battle and Ramon's memorial.
Dirty dancing’s best is do you love me from the beginning
Great dances in Xanadu
I thought you might mention the dance in "Michael."
Dirty Dancing the most memorable.
To the double actor of the Flashdance, gives credit when the credit is due.
Two of a kind and Perfect are two movies that I remember that had memorable dance scenes during the 80s that were not mentioned. Both with John Travolta the first with Olivia Newton-John and the second with Jamie Lee Curtis
"do you dream about me" from Mannequin. come on, who doesnt want to dance around in a closed mall.
Duckie in Pretty in Pink is 100% my favourite. He commits.
One reason why I don't subscribe to MsMojo or WatchMojo is because you talk too much. Just play the damn scenes. I really don't care what you say. I'm not watching this video to hear you talk, I'm watching this to see the dances. Always WatchMojo has to talk too much. You talk more than to play the scenes. Less talking
Only one is fame the rest is kind of hestia artificial
Not roller blades. Roller skates.
I watched most of the movies and dirty dance is the best and I love a chorus line.
The In Crowd (1988) many memorable dance scenes in the overlooked film set in mid-sixties Philadelphia area .
Why is there so much unnecessary commentary in Ms. Mojo? A lot of it is obvious. Simply watching would be much more enjoyable. I usually avoid Ms. Mojo for that reason.
What happened to Saturday Night Fever or even West Side Story or zjes all that prom dance or magic mike…
fave dance scene from 80s
definitely turbo in breakin 1 & 2
Dirty Dancing no 1 for me
Talk too much.
The beach scene in Carousel. My favorite
Dirty dancing and foot loose hands down❤❤❤
Xanadu trivia.
The male dancers in the pin striped suits.
Are Shabbat Doo ( Ozone) and Michael chambers ( turbo) from Breakin.
They are also in the Chaka Kahn video I feel for you
Great songs and dancing!
Yes…Seeing Footloose in the theatre in 1984. It was packed and such a great movie!
I just loved them all😊
Do you want to dance?
Beetlejuice is my fave here.
Why is it when a movie is a hit they have to make a remake which is never good
Rosie Perez is a really underrated actress and dancer in mho
Breakin…. broom dance?
Some Trivia: “The dancers in Fame (1980) didn't dance to the title track 'Fame' in the street scene, they danced to a different song, Donna Summers 'Hot Stuff' as at the time of the three-day shoot, the song hadn't been written”.
Michael Jackson' s Thriller video is missing from this list should be near the top if not #1
That’s funny… Red Foreman (with hair!) watching Travolta… That 70’s show fans will know exactly what I mean… 🤣🤣🤣
Though it's not 1980s Check out Donald O'Connor in "I Love Melvin" 1953 tap dancing in roller skates.
Am I wrong to suppose a ballet is the pinnacle of dance and that a top ballet dancer can readily pick up any other form of dance? They lack nothing in strength, balance, speed, flexibility, stamina, and discipline.
Everyone who went to the opening in theaters went out with their friends and danced in the parking lot until the authorities made us leave
I haven't seen any of the other movies except Dirty Dancing several times. I agree that it's number one. No doubt.
Dirty dancing betta be 1. 13:22 I’ve been watching clips from that movie.😂😂😂❤you prevailed.
Gosh! Watching Fame always makes me smile. And that White Nights dance with Baryshnikov and Hines is heavenly and should have been way higher, maybe No. 2. It's two true masters at work! But I do agree with the choice of Patrick's and Jennifer's dance as No. 1 because it is pure magic! 😊
Good God – what strange choices – with the exception of Patrick Swayze
Surprised Xanadu scored badly, I loved it
It would be better if that woman wasn't talking just want to watch the dancing and hear the songs
Patrick Swayze and girl dancing to These Arms of Mine. (Roadhouse and Dirty Dancing)
Rosie Perez’s dance is ridiculous and slightly vulgar. You couldn’t find anyone else of color?
