The blur at the edges works really well for streaming games, which has been getting more popular. For example, the steam link compresses the edges of the frame more heavily than the center, so this kind of blur works well for that very specific application

They released the gameplay trailer of rachet and clank if you wanna be able to view it without the compression and decompression messing up ones ability to see it in clarity.

pleeeease stop expecting raytracing! It's so incredibly taxing on even the absolute top of the line hardware, I wouldn't expect it to really be mainstream until the playstation *six!*

I am really looking for ward to Returnal for some reason. I like the Loop idea it reminds me of PT. Also Stray looks interesting considering you play as a can in a world of robots. So many great games coming out on ps5 its great.

It's definitely not SSR because at 4:35 or so you can see the monitor reflection and the monitor is nowhere on the screen at that time.

Gonna love this gen even if the RT we get is mostly reflections. I'm really looking forward to the first RT GI game though because man, RT GI just looks so damn good

Jumping through multiple worlds in an instant is also something that is not possible with current hardware too :)

Yah, I think the multiple worlds seen in the rift, are just textures with some parallax occlusion effects.

If you look at all of the curves in geometry there seems to be zero tessellation. Not possible on previous gen.

One thing that still amazes me is how he can teleport to different dimensions on the fly. DEFINITELY can't so that on current hardware.

Yes Sony loves to over blow things. Take that Killzone Video from one of the E3's. anyway This game was use to show effects and how fast a SSD can load Portal effects and the fact it showed different worlds ..portal this world and load 5 or 6 different worlds cool huh yeah that is SSD for you. real world not sure yet.

i think that in this demo they are trying to convince you that they are using the fast power of their ssd to show off the power of the console. other than the ray tracing and this, there is nothing more next gen about this in my opinion.

My understand was that going to new dimensions actually streamed the entire thing on and off the hard drive, not storing all of them on memory at once.

I like that you watched both videos. Also I would love for you to look at Kena: Bridge of Spirits from the PS5 event. Especially since ember lab, the developers, have a background in film and animation
