A ruthless assassin (Willis) has been hired to eliminate someone at the very top of the U.S. government. Constantly changing his identity and location, he is known only as the Jackal. It was his own consequence for being lackadaisical with his work and then trying to get extra money by extortion not by his work.
The jackal has some high standards and morals and codes he lives by and expects the same of those he interacts with but it sorely disappointed over and over again.
