Defunct Games reviews Postal 4: No Regerts, available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Previously available on PC.
Nowhere near as funny or offensive as it should be, Postal 4: No Regerts is another fun yet toothless entry in the long-running franchise. There’s a good-looking open-world here that is filled with funny details and a lot to do. Unfortunately, all of the good moments are marred by terrible combat mechanics, dated jokes and technical problems that make the game feel unfinished. Postal 4 is nowhere near as subversive as it wants to be nor as entertaining as it should be.

I never played anything past Postal 2 and its expansions. Those were great. Postal 4 is on sale for $16 USD on PlayStation. You can get a PC key for around 5 to 9 bucks, but Steam reviews said it was mostly a buggy mess. Based on your review, I think I’ll skip this one.
i cant wait to get my hands on this game. i freaking loved postal 2. it was one of the best ever lololol. i never would have thought that another one would ever be released especially considering all the fukng snow flakes around today
Their called illegal aliens not "migrants", you sellout.
Why cant i find postal 4 on the ps4 store i really wanna play it
Wish they would go back to there roots like the first fame
I think we’re all just desensitized. GTA has always let you kill people and run away, but just the plot being to kill others is what is a grim. Besides, there’s been SO many mass shootings since 99, that’s it’s not even funny or desirable to say “postal” anymore
Added to my wish list buying it soon as it’s on sale
how was postals remake 'toothless' and 'tame' lol. it made the game ten times more visceral and terrifying and the artstyle was a perfect reimagining in a grim and haunting yet beautiful handpainted style. the background 'soundtrack' was atmospheric and unnerving as fuck too.
This game gives me a Duke Nukem vibe. If it has better physics than the last Duke Nukem I’ll buy it
Wait what?
Postal movie is based on the game?
Uwe Boll has made some shitty movies in his career but if i remember correctly Postal was ok.
But he ain't no Neil Brean, that's for sure.
It's nothing like before when they would push boundaries. You can tell it's play it safe milquetoast political incorrentness. Maybe the programmers got too old and out of touch as to what's boundary pushing now.
postal 4 is amazing.
Thank Papa Desi for this port. my craptop cant run this one but ive been having tons of fun with postal 2
seeing a postal game on consoles is bizzarre, atleast a 3d one
if you want to know and understand postal you must play postal 2. i love the whole series but the second one is by and far the best postal game so far
Was this better than 3?
I've always loved the Postal series, that being said I was INCREDIBLY disappointed by Postal 4.
It's frustrating seeing people excuse a broken product because it's just that Postal "charm" but then shit on Postal 3 for being just as buggy and janky.
Postal 2 wasn't even that broken. At least it didn't have memory leak issues and constant crashes.
I will not wait for a sale, the postal series can have all of my money. You have to understand that the jankiness is a part of the postal games. Always has been.
Is this game worth it for $53 that’s its price in Canada minimum wage is 15a hour
All I want to know is can you piss on people 😂
… i really dug Deadly Tower of Monsters. The b-movie aesthetic was made for me.
Beavis and Butthead Virtual Stupidity hands down, but Stick of Truth close second.
These games have always seemed like they left a bunch of bugs in intentionally.
QOTD, favorite comedy game would be Earthworm Jim.
Thanks for reviewing this Cyril , I was very curious about the console version when 99% of folks say the PC version still seems like an unfinished early access game 😢😢😢😢 Damn running with scissors , you can get HIGH when the game is certified gold and finished lol
Qotd: serious Sam 2
It has great gameplay and graphics, and the humor is so bizzare, dumb and dated, that I cannot help but love it
Wouldn't be too surprised if some of the 'lack of teeth' comes from it being for consoles as well, especially the censor-happy PlayStation of all things. Heck, even then according to the developers, Microsoft refused both this and Postal Redux outright. With Postal 4 you could argue it has to do with the technical aspects, but there is no such excuse for Redux. Side note; Anyone still delusional to think Microsoft would continue releasing controversial id Software bangers like DOOM or Wolfenstein, adjust your expectations. They're dead.
QOTD; Disgaea series is a good one, as are Portal games. There are also a couple of genre parody games I've really liked and laughed with, even though their gameplay could be called 'janky' (i.e. "Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley" and "Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard").
The messenger, What lies in the multiverse, and Undertale/Deltarune are the games that made me laugh the most! If I had to pick one I'd say The messenger!
I agree, edgy or not, just as long as the game is fun, that's what I care about more. And yes, the biggest thing to offend me the most is game breaking glitches. As for the question, I'm going to have to go with a classic, Leisure Suit Larry franchise. The puzzles in there can be tough at times, but I do enjoy the jokes.
Journey to the Savage Planet is absolutely hilarious. Talk about a comedy game done right.
For your Question of the Day, my fave comedy game(s) would probably be either Disgaea or the Neptunia games.
Disgaea is so over-the-top absurd and crazy that you can't help love it, and, as someone who's followed games and industry stuff for most of my life, Neptunia's biting satire and deep cuts always find a way to make me laugh. It doesn't hurt that both are capable of having serious character moments without it feeling odd or out of place
No Remosre No Regerts/we don't care/what it meatn
Oh man, I didn't know they released a postal 4. I loved postal 2 and the expansion for it.
this game offends the leftist gaming media, that alone makes it worth a purchase in my mind
Absolutely love these reviews and the channel ❤
