Doing cables against her will
I research purchases obsessively, especially important purchases like this, and there was simply no beating a functional trainer as a piece of gym equipment. With this you can exercise every single body part.
I thought this is just the best trainer I could find.
The size not only provides a small footprint, it makes the machine highly versatile because the cables are well-positioned for everything, close enough to do curls, far enough to do flies. 6.5' x 6.5' is all that's needed for the machine and movements including with a bench.
I'm probably at the 50th percentile for strength at the gym, the normal stacks work for me, stronger men may want to get the additional weight stacks. The closest I get to the bottom is with lat pulldowns (I get to 90 out of 150).
I added Trak Handles which are pretty awesome.
I also added a Neck Flex attachment for the neck and some attachments for my feet (adding rings to the sides) to do leg kicks forward and backward and leg abduction and adduction (I can also do squats and using the bottom bar of the bench I can do calves -- put the bench bar sort of back and lean forward, you cannot fall forward as the weight pulls you back).
I got an adjustable bench with an ankle bar which is fantastic for doing abs using the rope.
I purchased the F1 due to
Size of machine also was a 4000.00$ dollar difference
And my whole family enjoys
Working on this daily
BUT...while this machine would be great for tight spaces it does limit one's range of motion when doing chest/back focused pulls. It's better if you could start with both arms at shoulder height inline with one's body and then bring the handles together. Having room for a cross cable machine that is spaced wide enough apart also allows for the "Muscle man pose move"...where you have both arms again at shoulder height but would be bringing the handles to your ears. Contracting shoulder muscles and biceps.
Also...while it's great that Shelly's in good shape. Nice back muscles. There are exercises "for women" and others that are not...if women want to keep their "attributes". The approach to their workout should be different. Something a lot of trainers overlook. used to training men. So they train female clients the same way they would their males. Giving their female clients a "physique" and not a "toned figure".
