@RoaringDinosaurs July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

I thought Home Alone 2 would be on here. Quote by Roger Ebert : "Cartoon Violence is only funny in Cartoons" Apparently even children who nagged their parents to take them had to look away.

@vth8658 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

If children are often watched violent movies , they may develop a view of the world as a more dangerous place than it actually is.

@racheledwards2352 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

I can't believe Wes Craven actually thought Resivoir Dogs was too violent

@SuperHeroStoriesUnlimited July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

Luke 13:1-5
New Living Translation

A Call to Repentance

13 About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple. 2 “Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than all the other people from Galilee?” Jesus asked. “Is that why they suffered? 3 Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.”

1 Corinthians 5

New International Version

Dealing With a Case of Incest

5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife.(A) 2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning(B) and have put out of your fellowship(C) the man who has been doing this? 3 For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit.(D) As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus(E) on the one who has been doing this. 4 So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over(F) to Satan(G) for the destruction of the flesh,[a][b] so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.(H)

6 Your boasting is not good.(I) Don’t you know that a little yeast(J) leavens the whole batch of dough?(K) 7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.(L) 8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread(M) of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate(N) with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world(O) who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[c](P) but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater(Q) or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.(R)

12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside(S) the church? Are you not to judge those inside?(T) 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”[d](U)

@asoka7752 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

Joker makes me think when someone openly admits of having mental illness, and be aggressive because of that, we have to be careful from such people.

@nicomoli10 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

all of these movies are awesome

@joelandriscina4248 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a movie about family sitting down together for a nice dinner, like Thanksgiving!🦃

@bfb344 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

What about Robocop

@isaiahmetz1341 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

It’s glad to see passionate number one, but much like with one of the other comments, what Jesus went through was at least two times worse realistically, but had that little last bit of strength to push through.

@sfmwolfproductions July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

I thought Hostel wasn’t that violent, I’ve seen worse tbh

@rmannayr2129 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

@lesleeestes1031 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

That was the closes reality of what Christ went thru so we the gentiles could be saved and go to heaven.

@jacobbump1282 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

The Passion rightfully portrayed such violence through the crucifixion process. The Romans were a grotesque people who tortured for entertainment, and crucifixion and whipping was nothing pretty or in any way mild. And for those who believe the Bible, (I am one) the film's portrayal is a… well…. violent reminder of Jesus' necessary sacrifice on the cross. For those who don't believe it, I can see how this film would be considered a needless violent movie.

@Charlie-rx3ni July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

How’s Temple of Doom not on here?

@madampluto3092 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

C'mon … The Texas Chainsaw Massacre isn't that violent!
As for the criminally underrated The Passion of Christ: 1) Everyone who's read anything about Roman torture and crucifixions knows the violence is toned down. The intestines and the sexual violence are missing. 2) It's about a violent, tragic historical event made by a director who makes Tarantino look like p*ssy when it comes to violent scenes. What did you expect?!

@nellieltuodelschwanck736 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

I loved the last house on the left

@ghettoeasterbasket5638 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

Violence in films needs to 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 a necessity . Simply putting it there for the hell of it , really doesn’t create any enjoyment

@dianagarza9988 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

If people don't like horror movies don't see it .

@cindystarling7401 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

@davidhoj July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

A Serbian film gets no mention???

Re check this list

@jeremysmith5919 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

Natural Born Killers was such a unique movie, the way the movie was put together, the music, jump cuts, color schemes and psychedelic visuals. I would say it stands apart from other violent films for it's unique brand of psychosis.

@SunlightHugger July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

As if A Clockwork Orange isn't STILL horrifying? I'm worried for WatchMojo's movie playlist tastes now, lol.

@queen_ofthe_bmovies744 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

I think Oliver Stone was trying to deliver the message that it's wrong to idolize serial killers with Natural Born Killers. Unfortunately, some people completely miss that.

@owainthomas2316 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

If they actually want to see violence in the a film then they should watch Terrifier and all 7 wrong turn films

@orpheus9037 July 15, 2024 - 1:34 pm

Cripes, this list barely scratches the surface. Mojo doesn't know much about movies. For starters, try Irréversible if you want to see something that really pushes the envelope. Next, go for Salo. And there are plenty of others that surpass this list.
