Don't forget about "Color out of Space"

@urbanguerrillaproductions July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

I fucking hated The Lobster. But Clockwork Orange and Eraserhead are my absolute favorites

@jonathanfesmiresteampunkau6983 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Look up the "bizarro" litarary genre. Some of those fit into it well.

@jonathanfesmiresteampunkau6983 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

To understand A Clockwork Orange, it helps to read the book, the version with the final chapter restored. That's a part the movie leaves out.

@Brzd11 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

House is a horror movie though

@ingridlovesboris July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Absurd plots, random imagery, uncomfortable atmosphere…

Sounds like every movie from Japan to me.

@stecky87 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

"House" & "A Clockwork Orange" are both horror films, though the former is definitely surrealist

@sidneycollier74 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

YOU TOTALLY FORGOT KUSO!!!

@emoneyg33 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Bunch overly artsy buuuulllshit..😂😂😂

@BothPalmsOut July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Honestly how good was The Lobster

@Loganwilde July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Check out Pawn Shop Chronicles from 2013

@iam_the_obiwan_ginmex8028 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

The Lobster was interesting it was mix of comedy and tragedy, slow paced with dystopian vibe, overall it seemed absurdist. Really interesting film

@dafilmqueen556 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

What about Tusk?Actually,why not make a list of movies with multiple genres?Anyway,Tusk is a horror comedy about a man who goes to Canada to interview someone,only for him to accept the invitation of a psychotic old man who's obsessed with recreating(that's right,you heard me) his deceased walrus hero,which he does by creating a suit made entirely of mutilated human skin,and even mutilates the protagonist-not that he didn't deserve to be punished,I mean he cheated on his girlfriend with too many women and he's a bully to many others,but this is a horrible fate even for one's greatest enemy- to the point of irreversible psychological and physical damage.Who does that?Kevin Smith,director of the horrible Cop Out movie featuring Bruce Willis,does apparently..

@SkinnyEMedia July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Does JOKER or BABY DRIVER pass this test? BABY DRIVER because it mixes action, thriller, music, dark comedy, and romance in a hardline mash-up that’s unclear to pinpoint?

@SkinnyEMedia July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Most of these films are arguably dark comedies?

@SkinnyEMedia July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

VENOM, the Tom Hardy Marvel film, passes this test as does GET OUT, CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE, BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS, Gaspar Noe’s I STAND ALONE, and anything Harmony Korine’s ever tampered with…particularly SPRING BREAKERS! Anything Lars Von Trier’s made passes this test!

@sydneyworley9174 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Being 100 with y’all…that tire movies trailer used to freak me tf out as a kid

@AbiShoukathAliA July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Some of the concepts mentioned here seem like they came right out of Martin's sci-fi works.

@inaweoftheworld July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Cloud Atlas was ahead of its time.

@m.lanzoni9306 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

In other words: These movies should not be watched. They're just… nothing.

@UnwrittenSpade July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

This narrator must be the guy that moved the comment section

@weston407 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Hausu has one of the all-time greatest soundtracks

@weston407 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

that song sounds like a bad Evanescence rip-off

@michelnewcomb9860 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

I was a young horny teenager and one late night I saw a movie called Naked Lunch. It was on a channel that often had semi erotic movies late at night so I was thinking there'd be naked people in it. Imagine how I felt watching that mind fuck of a movie. Boner killer of the highest order. LOL!!!!

@luciuspl1140 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Clockwork orange sucked period.

@Daniel_Boni July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

I feel like Killing of a sacred deer is even weirder than Lobstah

@evapalma9899 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

This could also work as Another Top 10 Weird Movies

@evapalma9899 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Who needs genres? That adds labels to art, a liberating medium

@davidleedutton July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

I would have been disappointed if The Lobster wasn't on this list. It's easily the weirdest movie I have ever seen, but it's also kind of wonderful.

@stevester9148 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

weird horror movies are still horror movies.

@Bumquat July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

What about Science of Sleep, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I would not say either fit easily into a genre.

@3DaiYo4Kai56 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Lol I’ve seen gummo, Frank, lobster, & clockwork orange. Do I need to mention that I saw Parasite as well? I feel like parasite & clockwork orange are no longer obscure.

But y’all forgot to include Barton Fink on this list. What about Barton Fink!!!!?

@Korcsmaros July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

What about Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?!

@montypeno1495 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Slacker would be a good choice for this list.

@keach1983 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

I watched the tire film ummm all those hours of my life i lost on that 1

@angeedesierra July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Frank is a drama movie that's not Genre less

@goffer43 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

The corpse in "Swiss Army Man" was once Harry Potter.

@hansmoerenhout July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Some Terry Giliam movies could be here too… anyone seen TIDELAND? Very weird movie

@supahtyp July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

Rubber is clearly a horror comedy

@slambangaction July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

2:42 Sounds like a horror film to me.

@zaturnneo July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

What, no Greasy Strangler?

@kriskelchtermans8594 July 13, 2024 - 10:09 am

And Eraserhead in turn inspired Kramer's haircut.
