Horror can scare us in all kinds of ways, from a subtly haunting ghost story to an unhinged tale of human depravity. However, some films have just been too depraved, making it quite hard for audience members to sit through them. Even esteemed critics like Roger Ebert have walked out of some of these horror movies, due to their depictions of everything from cannibalism to the torture of children.
Some of these flicks have become cult classics among the most dedicated of horror fans, while others are near-universally disliked, so let’s take a look at some horror movies that audiences just couldn’t sit through.

Why Srpski film(2010) wasn't on the list, many festivals declined to show it because it was to disturbing for anyone to watch
"not everyone has a taste for cannibalism" i see what you did there
I would say Green Inferno after 40 mins.
Pretty much every much Japanese movie is about shocking you with no story line.
Jacob's Ladder. Very little in the way of blood and guts for a horror move, but I've never come across anything more horrifying on a psychological and even existential level. I know a lot of people who couldn't sit through it, but it's my favorite movie. As for myself, I avoid films with sexual violence. I don't have much of a stomach for that. Torture, mutilation, body horror; I love films with that kind of stuff, but a graphic rape scene just ruins a movie for me. That's why I won't watch A Serbian Film.
I couldn't sit through TCM. Too gory for me.
"Salo or The 120 Days Of Sodom (1975)" makes "Caligula (1979)" look like "Driving Miss Daisy".
What movies are the first 4 scenes from (the ones within the first 15 seconds of the video)?
The Hills Have Eyes – NO
Salo – NO
Trouble Everyday – NO
BITE – NO
CALIGULA – NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
THESE JUST ARE NOTHING!
My favorite movie genre ( dark shit)
Uhh…. what about The Exorcist?!
1.) "I Spit On Your Grave" (original)
A revenge tale that begins with such a myriad of colorful innocence. Then slowly pushes you into cinematic sights of raw, savage, and unrestrained brutality.
2.) "The Hills Have Eyes" (original)
The unnervingly strange hillbilly-like characters and the tension of such horrific events occurring in the middle of nowhere, was believable for that time period.
((the remake)) this movie was psychological-terror, wrapped in brutality. The grotesque and savage characters, the ambushing/separating of the family by drawing them out from their only sanctuary (an RV) by either necessity (or curiosity) was expected but, the circumstances of having to do so made sense. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, no cellular signals, more women than men, busted vehicle, a baby…and hungry, inbred, cannibalistic mutants. 😂
Clown?
I couldn't sit through these movies either. Why? Cause they're a load of unbridled lame T U R D.
How are The Human Centipede movies not on this list? I have a strong constitution, but the first one really tested it. Not to mention the poor writing and horrendously bad acting. I never even bothered with the other two.
Martyrs is sooooo good!!!
5 Bravo should've been on here I think, it was actually played in theaters and eventually just got cut out from theaters entirely after a couple screenings
Ha ha
What no Japanese gore movie?
THEIR NOT THAT BAD
I've only heard of 2 of these movies, and haven't seen any of them. Now I doubt I ever will.
