People are going to have smart phones for a long time, there's no reason smart watches need to exist.
It's just more redundant useless crap they want us to buy.

I seem to remember Timex having a watch that came with a keyboard that plugged into it so you could program contacts and calendar events into it

Really nicely presented, very informative and funny. I thought I remembered some smart watches of the past. ; )

Can't wait for smart condoms

@itsyaboybob5132 July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

Actually aren't spy watches technically the first type of smart watch

@Magi_Carp_ July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

I think a smart watch is unnecessary if you already have a smart phone…

The LG Watch Phone was an early attempt sort of like Google Glass. It costed around $900 which probably explains why nobody has heard of it.

@MrPivotmaster98 July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

Hell yeah google will make it happen.

@igotorambam123 July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

Love this show!!!

No mention of the iPod Nano watch? That product, although heavily flawed as a watch (and certainly not the first), really brought attention to wearable devices.

@Wehiremonkeys July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

I still have Pokimon Dimond from 2007 which has a smartwatch thing on (I'm not sure about later versions).
I don't really see the point in buying one though, they're basicly overpriced versions of the feature phones everyone had 10 years ago; I guess smartphones theese days are too big to be portable.

@Gilliatt83 July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

@butterbabe21 July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

If Google is attached to a product we all will have it of we can afford it

@icydragon68 July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

What's next? Smart piercings?!

@R0ZZAY July 6, 2024 - 8:24 am

I think android wear will fail then apple will make it work and then Google will copy if apple hasn't patented it already
