mysterious skin isnt a romance at all so if youre watching it for a romance dont theres a lot of kid diddling scenes its very very gross

Cmbyn is definitely the best on this list, I loved boys don’t cry too saw that when I was really young and blown away at Hillary swanks portrayal. Mysterious skin was amazing too

"Blue is the warmest color" is what NOT TO DO AS A LESBIAN!!! It was a toxic relationship of cheating and lack of trust and if I remember one was an adult while the other was literally in high-school....THEIR RELATIONSHIP STARTED OUT HELPING THE BLUE HAIR LADY CHEAT ON HER PARTNER!!! waist of time horrible movie

❤ besides it can be argued that shows like Roswell New Mexico have an aspect of coming of age. Because flashbacks alone would fall under that.. Then you take shows like Shadowhunters. Witcher based on the books that are very much coming-of-age but Clary is 18 and very much coming-of-age.. And Alex technically is an adult but in the books he would have been a teenager and coming-of-age. It can be argued either way❤❤ but anyway we're content yay. Plus Rafael who died when he was 15 I think is asexual so still in the clear Banner. So yes Roswell New Mexico because of flashbacks and shows like Shadowhunters because the show has half the Caspian teenagers and the other half you know not but Origins are all teenagers to the books so yeah it works❤😂

How do you figure boys don't try to engage very well? It's a true story you got a problem with homophobia or transphobia or whatever else that you can add in there you're going to have to say that it's because it was a true story. If anything it pulled too many punches.

*take into consideration that I have considered the fact that the movie isn’t ALL ABOUT the gay relationship and it is only part of the movie; but the the way the gay element/homo-erotic tension holds
1.) contributes to the end result..
2.) the way that as a gay man in America in any time line in America in any generation since then lgbtq is just was not acceptable. Because of that mainly I do believe it belongs on this list. This movie told so many peoples story of homoromantic secret highschool america “first gay love story kinda thing”
