Dude I get your sentiment, but Xbox DID make their games exclusives, and always have, the purchase of almost 100Billion for 2 of the biggest publisher calls for their games to keep selling in all platforms they currently were or else their value completely dimishes...
..but Xbox held their ground and launched like 3 or 4 exclusives from those publishers and guess what? Xbox players did not supported those games enough to compensate not having the PlayStation sells, and yes it is obvious, there's alot less Xbox players than PlayStation, but then wouldn't the decision Microsoft just did the most obvious and correct one? To bring all Xbox games to PlayStation? Well yes, it is the only way Bethesda and Activision will remain being almost 100Billion dollars worth, without PlayStation player base, those companies will die.
The GamePass kills them, and being exclusive kills them, sadly they should've never went after publishers, because now they can't make up the money as they thought...
And even Phil realized that PlayStation gamers are not going out there and buying an Xbox for any of their games... 🤷🏻‍♂️

So to not implode, this decision is the only way out. They did this to themselves.

A lot of the things that made early Xbox "cool" has been shown to not work in the long run. Unfortunately they aren't learning. You can buy all the content, but not the talent, and Xbox has finally has been asked by MS, to pay up.
