I was a power lifter for twenty+ years, rarely used gyms, cause I'd been approached several times about steroids, and when I said no they actually got threatening, which usually turned out bad for them, I was also a biker bar bouncer, I could fight. But I turned my garage into my work out area, my friends spotted me when needed, and most of my weights came from the junk yard, it's a lot cheaper than real barbells. I'd maxed out at around 400 lbs bench, and 1200 squats. But had to give it all up after colon cancer, can't lift anything over thirty lbs now, no core.

Guys ignored us when we said we want to work out in peace and not get bothered and hit on only because some guy see's a sports bra. We should do the same thing now, ignore their crying about filming, telling them if they don't like it they should cover themselfs or find a new gym....

At the local gym in the town I live in, there is literally zero people recording themselves with any tripods. All the people I share the gym with are incredibly nice and aren't toxic whatsoever, and if you lose grip of something, they'll be there to help. This is the kind of gym enviroment we need.

been gyming for years and honestly after every set, as i rest id be blankly staring at anything even at guys as i recuperate, funny thing is for most of the times i stare at guys and they notice they just nod and i nod back. no biggie. girls tend to make something so meaningless to something becoming out of proportion

What accent is that you have? I am thinking that this is Scottish but I know the UK and many of their former colonies have a huge amount of accents that sound very similar.

Someone else needs to do this for other areas. I just commented on a girls post about being stalked at cosplay convention. poor kid seemed socially awkward while girls are nice to his face while calling him a creep and stalker to their video.

I love both of these guys, they are the real life superheroes to gym community, and I love how they are taking down the ego centric jerks of Social Media. I just hope that there will be many others out there like both of them who will promote gym positivity because that’s what we need more of within the gym community

I know as a woman I felt like you have a right to wear whatever. I’ve seen some of those exercise short they look like underwear you clearly can see everything. I find them so tacky and gross. their attention grabbers. Sometimes it’s kind of like going to Walmart and seeing people very very heavyset people wearing daisy duke shorts and half of their bodies hanging outside. And I’m shocked they leave the home looking like that and I do look because I’m amazed by the look borderline disgust cause that’s my opinion so stop worrying risky outfit that people are going to look.
