Have you even watched barbie and the island princess? it has romance, strength, integrity and the complexity between duties and desire. Antonio is the perfect match for her, they are both adventurous, and kind. Antonio was still so respectful to princess Luciana, and still admired and respected Ro. And the mother daughter relationship? Another sub plot to drive the movie home, the musicality, pacing and color palette is amazing, a truly unique story that sets itself apart from the rest.

I miss the soft classic barbie animation that's just very pleasant to the eyes. Now watching the new barbie seems like watching a cocomelon cartoon, too stimulating and hurts my eyes and brain. 😢
