He's speaking at a Catholic school. I'm no Catholic, but don't they believe these things. What's wrong with women staying home and raising children, taking care of the home? All this time, I thought feminism was about choices. It sounds like he's proud of his wife and thankful to God for her. I thought we were supposed to lift all women up. Even Christian woman that want to be homemakers. Or any women of any belief that choose to be homemakers.

I don't know what was so controversial about his speech. He spoke his beliefs as a Catholic in a Catholic college. Good for him. I don't know why people are so upset! He was speaking at a Catholic school and is Catholic. The Catholic religion that has a strong stance on family. I feel he speaks the truth and the world would be a better place if women would stay home when raising children and being a mother is the biggest thing any woman could ever do. I'm not sure where this narrative is coming from about women need to be out there in the workforce, parenting, and upholding being perfect at everything. I lived a life where stayed home and had the opportunity to work as well and staying home is way better for the soul. There is no point of trying to do it all because nobody can.

Hopefully his views on LGBTQ pride evolves to a more positive light. If not, i'm not sure any kid of his who turns out to be of the LGBTQ community will find acceptance at home. For him to be so young, it's sad that he has the view point that many of the women there graduating want to be at home with babies.
