SPOILERS!!! Do not read this comment in full if you have never seen this movie.



Kyle (Jon Favreau) is getting married to Laura (Cameron Diaz), and one night, he and his four friends go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. One of them, Robert Boyd (Christian Slater) secretly invites Tina, a prostitute, to their hotel room for entertainment, and some sexy fun, until it ends unintentionally fatal. When Tina accidentally ends up dead, a security guard shows up to investigate the commotion they were making, then he finds her body in the bathroom, which pushes Boyd to take him out. Despite trying to resume their lives after covering this whole night up, they face more consequences due to an increasing amount of guilt & paranoia. Boyd does whatever it takes to stay free and safe for his life, which includes taking out his own friends. When someone is that desperate for their own life just to put their own buddies out of the picture, then it is definitely a bridge permanently burned for life. Maybe confessing to the guard what happened is a logical solution, even if it means doing time. But yeah, Robert Boyd in Peter Berg’s directorial debut dark comedy is a literal example of a terrible friend, or rather someone who tries to be a friend when they’re not.

I could call Erik Lansherr,aka Magneto,a terrible friend,or at least a controversial one.In X-Men First Class(2011),he willingly puts Charles in a lot of pain while he is in control of Shaw and prevents him from trying to stop him by putting on the helmet.But that isn't all:many ignore that he punched Charles Xavier when our latter tried to stop him from destroying the humans attacking,although that was thankfully before Charles got paralyzed by mistake,the only thing that snapped Erik out of attempting to kill the humans;then,in X-Men 2(2003),he abandons Charles in a collapsing building where he would've died had Nightcrawler hadn't rescued him.It doesn't stop there;in X-Men:The Last Stand(2006),when Jean kills Charles,it takes Magneto an entire film afterwards before he finally decides he misses Charles,and that is when he loses his powers,Jean is dead,and he's playing chess by himself.Add this to their rivalry over their opposing views about the fate of humanity,and you most definitely can detect the dangers in this friendship.
