Personally, I wouldn’t recommend somebody hugging another female from the back. Because someone would be married to that female, I would be respectful of that person’s boundaries because I don’t know how he or she would feel.

People need to understand that the voice is like any other organ in the body, prone to extreme wear and tear especially if your technique isn't protective of it. That plus age and you will naturally lose your voice.
