The original debut for the RE Engine gets a new patch for PS5 and Xbox Series systems – once again adding ray-tracing and 120Hz Modes. The difference next to the Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake updates? Performance is very nicely optimised for 4K and 60FPS even with ray-tracing enabled – though Series S flags a few more issues than the two premium machines.

one x winssssssssssssss
Does it run 4k 120hz?
As a xbox player, i have to admin that the ps5 looks much better with games then my xbox series x….
Time to go play it again 😊
Am I the only one who doesn't see the point in this Ray Tracing bullshite?
I'm getting a bug "no profile selected" on RE7 base game for XBS/S that was supposedly fixed in this update and yet I still can't play at all since it won't load past user authentication no matter what I try.
Anybody have any clue how to fix this?
Can't clock on anything
Was playing this on psvr. Put it down when I realized how incredible it was, knowing it would be epic experienced on pcvr. Still not available, other than modding it to vr.
4k 120fps in this game on Xbox Series X / PlayStation 5 is simply phenomenal and if you wanted that level of visuals and performance on Pc you’ll spend nearly 3x the price
wait so the seires s version in high frame mode, still does it at 1440p? then this is probably the best example of 120hz on the whole console.
Resident evil 7 is the only game I know that can run at 4k and still look like your playing through the eyes of a nearly blind person
The lack of ps5 representation earned a dislike from me! At the start of each chapter, u only showed ps5 for 2 seconds and the xbox stuff for the rest of the video. U gotta show EQUAL REPRESENTATION of ps5 and xbox.
any difference from the xbox one x version vs series s?
Series s. A joke when it was released and still a joke to this day
graphics options on console? …. CHOSE YOUR SACRIFICE!…..
This game needs to be psvr2 support
So they got this game ready and updated for psvr2… STOKED
The new next gen update looks amazing in the outside areas
Has anyone done the ps5 vs pc ultra comparison?
Just picked this up for $8 on sale. Wife got me an X for Xmas. I'm a huge wuss when it comes to horror games (PT legit made me yell "No! and leave the room) but I'm having fun so far.
Left arm kinda tingles tho ;P
I have done a few Playthroughs on the Xbox series X after the update and the game drops to one FPS ever so often several times throughout the game.
This game is finally fixed I can finally enjoy it thanks to the powerful PS5 cause this game was a piece of trash on PS4 all those pop in textures
I know it would probably ruin the feel of the game, but I really wish Capcom would add a 3rd person mode like they did with Village. It's always cool to see these games from that perspective.
I've just purchased it for 5.25€ and still think is quite a DISGRACE that Capcom has the game, after updating/patching it in summer '22, without 21:9 ultrawide support. Meaning no 2560×1080 or 3440x1440p. Just blackbars. They cannot allow this kind of poor PC ports. No a good job definitely. Its freaking 2022. If no HexEditor can fix it, will ask for a refund.
all 3 games look better without RT (on the consols) imho
RE 7 on ps5 was a disaster for me. It just constantly keeps crashing. It's the only game I've had a problem with. I ended up just deleting it.
You should be able to unlock frame rate with RT on.
I wish you guys would stop calling reconstructed or checkerboard 4K…. Just 4k
SeriesX ftw
Man the only thing keeping these videos from being perfect is not having time stamps when you scroll through the video.
I'm probably gonna stick to VR on my first full playthrough, but after that it's 120fps at 4k all the way
