I have been well below and well above “average”fitness. Right now, for me, I might be perfect 🙂

Conversation with friends who assumed I worked out 24/7 and a couple of emails I got promoted this one… (spoiler….I don't work out 24/7 😂)

Inspiring! One of the best video’s for anyone trying to find their path and get fit!

@Dantheman11693 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Great video mark. I have a 3 yr old daughter and a very demanding job. I’m down from 100kg to 82kg since she was born. Just about to do my first half marathon.

I could have chose to watch tv every night but I’m glad I didn’t. It’s all about discipline and priorities. Plus it’s bloody good for your mental health.

@garymcclay4529 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Brilliant 👏

@cathydraut546 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Thanks! You inspire me before every workout and got me to find and participate in my local Parkrun. 😊

@eatmoveliftenjoy7364 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

This is such a good message mate – thanks for putting it out there.

@BMD-INK May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

You should try ju-jitsu it’s really fun and would make great content for the Chanel

@vpnconsult May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

That shirt. 👕

@greengenesis May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Intresting video and point. I was intrested in this question when I was studying and, well, a health nut. To my surprise I found out running a 10k sub 50min is pretty much the pinnacle of health. Yes you can get fitter than that, but that doesn't make you healthier.

@Spendarellaa May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Nice toaster.

@thatgearguy May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

If you ever want to get your bench into above average territory I am happy to help. In 2 weeks you will be repping 100k. You have the strength and mindset you just need to tweak your technique.

@simonagrigoras6952 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

What is the brand of clothing in this video ? Particularly a T shirt that has as logo – A . Thanks

@Kosh42EFG May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Dinton is one hell of a duck pond 😂

@rugglez May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Am I not supposed to eat donuts in the gym? Not even as my pre-workout??

@mandie492 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

I love that you acknowledge that some people just don't have the time, point blank period. Seems like a number of fitness influencers forget that it's not always about finding the motivation or switching out TV for the gym

@3Unique May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Mark is a seriously nice guy. See 11m 15s. Seriously focused though. Gives me something to aim towards. Thank you

@kubeshangovender7679 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Great video, don’t get obsessed with the routine so that you get demotivated if doesn’t pan out, but be completely honest about how your time is spent😊

@Dean-ig7dd May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

this is such an eye opener for me ,i need to take a day or two just to organize stuff, I'm always looking for stuff or wasting time on things without realising.

@lequedicatsamarge4228 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Here is why I don't have time for that: a fulltime job and three kids under the age of 5. my day goes like this:
5:306:30 get up
6:308:30 getting kids ready for kindergarden and bringing them there
8:3012:00 work
12:0013:00 break, cooking, eating, doing some household stuff
13:0018:00 work
18:0021:00 preparing dinner, having dinner, getting kids into bed
21:0022:30 doing laundry, cleaning up the kitchen and the living room. And then excuse me for just wanting to sit for half an hour and do nothing or consume some youtube shit.

I only find time for a short run during lunchbreak if I choose not to eat and a longer run on weekends.

I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and nuance, here. I am so sick and tired of the youtube/insta culture of sensationalist and clickbaity type stuff, I really appreciate you not doing that and offering some nuance, talking about individual people's goals, balance and moderation, etc. You just gained a follower off this video.

@joehesketh9370 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Great video. Your channel has been a great source of inspiration, and I appreciate the BS free common sense approach.

@timmyvarvel9196 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

I love your perspective. I have been running (slowly) on and off for 10 years now but never took it seriously because everyone I saw talking about training and competition just turned me off. I wasn't interested in being a part of that elitist cocksure gymbro community. You have helped me build a different perspective and now I'm 6 weeks into a marathon training plan and I'm loving it

@aaroneverett296 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Watching this video this morning motivated me to get out. I'm not at your level, but I don't have to be. I can't run yet (20 a day guy) but I can walk 20k on a nice Saturday. And besides the smoking, you're videos make me feel OK with just doing what I can do. And seeing you push yourself to the max, makes me see.. I could push a little bit harder too. I'm not you, and I can't do what you can do, but I can can make gains, and absolutely have. 3 miles turned into 4, turned into 8, turned into cycling 7 miles, turned into cycling 12 up to 15. Just, thank you.

@ernestspicoli8910 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

For your age, you are above the average, you're in the top 15%. But your mindset and approach towards sport/life is something which is really worth admiring.

@andrewzach1921 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Well made common sense video. It never hurts to find a little extra motivation to go for that walk in the morning when your coffee tastes really good and you are tired and you think to yourself well Mark goes out and does 100km you can walk for 20 minutes in the morning sun.

@MRW94 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Hey Mark, Fantastic channel! I love your attitude! I’m a 48 yo father of a 5 yo girl who’s lost 30 lbs since January. I love that You run & lift & love the runs with Nixon!! Keep up the good work Brother & please tell me where to get that T-shirt! We appreciate the motivation 🏋🏼‍♂️

@Timjacks01 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Just found your channel and really enjoying it… However, instant coffee?! Come on, get the proper stuff 😊😉

@GlasDevGuy May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

From your start point till now… an amazing body recomposition ! Did you have a fair bit of loose skin after dieting and exercising to reach your goal weight ?

@campsitesweden May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

How tall are you Mark?

@MasalaMan May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Get above average, get in the ocean and wait for the waves.

I've got to ingrain that in my head.

@Afwehtekyutre May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

If you get disparaged by my previous comment, then don't be. You make great content. Pleasure to watch even if I might seriously disagree with some of your advice.

@leemarsden4520 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

They should teach this in school !!!

@ellleigh1216 May 6, 2024 - 12:34 pm

Perfect video on how to live a happy healthy life. Yes there’s work involved, but don’t beat yourself up about not following a specific programme. Do you want to run an ultra? Cool know you have to allocate the time for that. Don’t fancy putting that time in, no problem, you can still do the exercise you feel like. The point is, doing exercise in any form is good, and certainly better than what a lot of folk are doing. If you’re enjoying it and want to take it further, that’s great, but don’t feel any pressure to just because you’ve seen someone else doing on social media.
