“‘Ark 2’ Is Delayed And ‘Ark 1’ Is Being Killed Unless You Buy A ‘Remaster’ Ark 2, the sequel to the original Ark: Survival Evolved, has now been delayed to the end of 2024 after previously shooting for a 2023 release. They are remastering the original Ark in Unreal Engine 5 and calling it Ark: Survival Ascended. When that game launches, they are switching off the original Ark: Survival Evolved Servers. But this is not just porting players over as they wait for the sequel. The only way to play Survival Ascended, and therefore any currently existing version of Ark, is to buy a $50 bundle that packages the remaster with the now-delayed sequel. Studio Wildcard has confirmed there is no free upgrade path from the original game to the remaster for current owners. On top of that, it appears you may also have to rebuy the expansions for the original Ark as they are remastered for the UE5 version. Each DLC pack is $20 and again, there does not seem to be any credit given to players who already bought the versions for the last-gen version.”

While we’ve seen 512GB and 2TB options appear from Seagate, prices have stubbornly remained high, despite similar storage for PS5 consoles dropping significantly. Just got the 1tb seagate xbox expansion ssd for $150 USD as a prime day deal, although more expensive than PS5 storage expansion options, still a must if you use Game Pass and do not want to swap things from one drive to another.

WD don't make a 2TB solution, but it forced Seagate to lower their price so I got it much cheaper than double the cost of a WD 1TB. 1TB just isn't enough, this fall Forza 8 and Starfield alone are going to take almost a quarter terabyte. MS should push for lower SSD prices which will increase gamepass subs.

A simple nvme enclosure or external adapter would be the best option imo. Then you could use whichever ssd you want.
