Montag really screwed up this time.

I like it when he says that the case has been elevated to murder that he is the investigator and that homicide is his speciality
@danser_theplayer01 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
Even modern security cameras can't do this😂. I know it's a movie trick but so much time has passed.
@src6339 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
Geniuses, though thèy might be, the murderer is always a mere debutant in Colombo's world of mystery. 🤔

"I promise this will be the last time I bother you."
The words a guilty party never wants to hear Columbo say.
@zedzaheer May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
There is no way he would have attracted her! She is way out of his league.
@GizmoBeach May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
What’s there that wasn’t there before, what isn’t there that was there before, and what’s been moved?

Columbo never said that, but this denouement encapsulates the idea, considering what was in fact moved.

The devil is in the details, and Columbo could always find them.

The only problem with this is video resolution was very limited in those days. If they enlarged something that small to near full screen, it would be very pixelated. Tough to make out. It might be easy to make out that it was a piece of paper, but whatever was printed on it would be indistinguishable.

Chilling how the husband totally ignores his wife at the end.
@rphilipsgeekery4589 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
I like the way the tech guy has a weird hair cut, indicating difference.., and his tech lair has aluminium walls , tech is something separate weird...in the 70s , the rest of house has wood paneled walls .. nature, hes obviously evil , the tech is hidden, back then tech nerds were viewed with suspicion

i like how columbo turned all cop,,very professional no nonsense when he nailed someone
@salmanuel4053 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
Appreciate the look Elizabeth gives her husband when Columbo unmasks him as the one who killed her mother: you can see the scales fall from her eyes.

@rafikz77 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
Jeremy Renner was very good in this episode
@TJay41 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
It is a great detective show without all the blood and gore and violence we see in todays shows.
@claiminglight May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
I'm surprised that I haven't seen anybody pointing out that this would absolutely fail to convict. The fact that the video was switched doesn't mean he was the one to record the decoy or switch the video out. Maybe I'm missing context from the full episode, but any defense lawyer would be able to poke a hole in this.
@radicalrick9587 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
Back then you could put your hands up and a cop would let you walk to the cop's car, today, 20 cops would tackle you like a football player and slam your head into the ground a few times before cuffing you then give you a few kicks for a good measure, just because you grab a candy bar from a vending machine that wouldn't give you your candy unless you shook the heck out of it.

And people are so proud of Ultra HD BluRays. What's the resolution of that system? Ultra Super Mega HD?
@johnking5174 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
For a man with only one eye, Columbo seems to have perfect vision in that one working eye of his - also, before anyone claims Columbo character is not the same as Peter Falk playing him who does have just one eye, that was settled in "A Trace of Murder" 1997 episode, when Columbo asks the assistant to come with him to the scene as "three eyes are better than one", which means Columbo had just one working eye.
@SL-vi4tk May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
John Cassavetes, wife Gena Rowlands, and Peter Falk must've had a blast working together
@jomo999 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
I love the moment where he claps the door open and Columbo is standing there with an officer, cigar in hand. Very cool.
@royrayburn1503 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
Why was Colombo never promoted past LT.
@flabarre9776 May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
With the great Oskar Werner...
@DaniloBingham May 3, 2024 - 5:09 am
How unsympathetic is this character in his behavior, first in his twisted behavior one never tells if he is lying or is telling the true what it means, than his 3-4 time caming back; "..just only another thing.." is really annoying to me, making the fellons look more pleasant than this swinging walking bag, always with those hands one risen up a la Mussolini the other scraching that head of his with thas jungle hair on it. He is really very annoying and boring. And than allways with that cigar trunk always stuck in that mouth of his, or waving around, If I would be one of his suspect I should throw him out, him and all thos his stories, about his parents, wifes etc, becaouse as I mentioned before, for a spectator is impossible to know if it is really meaning what he is speaking or is just a fake story just to get closer to some his suspect.
He is a chigoe.
