ummm "period" drama? no, there is incredibly immature and ill researched wardrobe and set designers, most of the wardrobe was not accurate for the era, hairstyles were never like this in the 1910-1930s, not even for the working man or gangster, no pomade/shine was used either, women didn't have their eyebrows like in the show, dress lengths used in the show would have had you arrested for obscenity, the suit tailoring is from 2010's not the roaring 1920's, how did the wardrobe designer not notice charlie chaplin had a moustache and alway did don one! but is clean shaven in the show, men weren't wearing gloves at parties or evening do's a big no no back then, men did not have "half mast" trousers nor did they have "turn up" trousers back then as these is a very modern trend, men in the 1920's also never had ear piercings either and tommy shelby's modern style tattoo's should have been covered up or photoshopped out, the flapper dancers dresses are above the knee but in reality would have been just above the ankle, there were also many racial inaccuracies for this era in England, paint colours are all wrong for the era's of the show and so it the wallpaper choices. though i love the peaky blinders show for pure entertainment and currently binging watching the whole series again, in terms of period drama, i would have sacked the researchers and so-called experts, what did they use for research? fashion and architecture historians or Google shopping and Amazon shopping? you may as well had boeing 747's flying over in filming and used mobile phones.
