Just got the game today. Will read rules tomorrow

@ilqrd.6608 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

man these guys are so dry and their setup looks like straight out of tv direct shopping show…game kicks ass though!

@teslavoltagames3208 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

The first time I played this game, I wanted to setup and play it again. But I couldn't. That is a sign of a great game.

@WojennikTV April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

The game is great. It is already in the first 100 on BGG!

@davidcassady3366 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Like the review. Love the theme. Hope to have a chance to try this one.

@natashagorecki4369 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

This game is definitely intimidating. I'm still pretty new and have actually never played a worker placement game before! Pretty sure this isn't the one I should start on, but I'm keeping it in mind for the future. I guess I still need my training wheel games.

Thanks for the great video, Jeremy and David. We are getting ready to play tonight. I looked at several videos trying to get a feel for the game. This was easily the best video. And, in my opinion, this may be your best video I've seen to date. You are raising the bar in the industry. Keep up the good work, boys.

Ahh, here it is….. An amazing video review for the amazing game that I didn't get to back… haunting me like a hostile ex.

@terahekir April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Great review! Could you please tell me the dimensions of the base game box?

@SeerMagicX April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Anachrony is great. Trickerion minus the programming is amazing. It's my favorite euro game, and several friends love it. Some #1 game of all time kind of love.

@Maurice333 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Love your show! Any chance of watching a playthrough?

@bgm-1961 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

As an afterthought to my comment below…. I'm an Ameritrasher at my core and don't like most heavy Euros such Le Havre or Hansa Tuetonica, or Feast for Odin, etc. They're too heavy and too dry for me!
But I LOVE Anachrony and Trickerion! I find them both to be engaging and straight forward to play with a lot of "fluidity" to their mechanics.

Also, to the MvM guys: You also had the same sort of positive reaction to Great Western Trail. I don't want to impose upon you for a comparison, but a comment about which particular "sweet spot" that each game hit would be great to hear!

@bgm-1961 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

And to think that this is only Mindclash's 2nd game – with their 1st being the equally superb Trickerion! Speaking of Trickerion, I don't think you guys did a video for that. Would be nice for you to do a "oldies that still deserve attention" series! Regardless, if you like Anachrony as much as you apparently demonstrate, then you MUST play Trickerion if you haven't already!

@repthrd April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Hoping for the Meeple Realty insert soon…

@SharlzG April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

You say with a good teacher is simple to learn…so I'm obviously going need you guys to come visit me in Australia to teach it to me. Thanks.

@DigitalMagicianYT April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

My euro style game of the year so far. I know people like to hear x is my game of the year but i would put them in 2-3 categories. (euro, ameri, co-op maybe)

@chriswinston1223 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

I couldn't stand Anachrony or Trickerion. They both felt bloated and too convoluted despite some nice game design and aesthetics. Be wary of Anachrony if you are not a hardcore gamer.

@marcelp.7907 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Great review as always! Did you play with modules? Could you maybe offer a video about the modules, how they impact the game and how good they are in your opinion? This could be of some importance because some of the modules are included in an expansion (for those who did not kickstart the game).

@Pryde551 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

I cannot agree more. This is a fantastic game. To date I have 14 plays in of Anachrony, some solo, 2 player and 3 player. Still have not hit a 4 player game. When my wife first saw this laid out on the table she gave me the Scooby Doo, "Ruh Roh". It took a little convincing, but she finally sat down to play and afterwards said, "This really is not that complicated". My 14 year old thought it was pretty easy to learn as well.

This game does looks intimidating, but it is one of the most smooth playing games I have played. After the 3rd play I did not even need the rule book anymore. I have about 25 plays of Mage Knight and still need both rule books every time I play.

There is so much variety, and ways to develop your board. My favorite module is the Pioneers of New Earth. Also the Chronobot solo variant was done really well and tough to beat. I am glad to have this option when I am looking to play, but everyone else is busy.

For those wondering about difficulty I asked my son what he thought since I love more complex games. He thought it was easier to learn than Terra Mystica, Eldritch Horror and Eclipse.

He found it slightly harder to learn than Lords of Waterdeep, Above and Below and Small World. Hope this helps for those on the fence.

You have any plans for the upcoming 1 year anniversary of "Man vs. Meeple" ? Thanks for the show, you've made me spends lots of money… 🙂

@dwarftoken April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

have not break into mine yet. Looking forward to play

@glenjust630 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Man vs Meeple Masterpiece? Is this the first game to receive this recognition? Will you list at year end all the M3's you've given out each year? Are there other recognition "awards" that are to come as well from Man vs Meeple? Just wondering.

@tiffanyblack3829 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

I absolutely love this game! It's just so stinking good. After the first several plays, it has become one of my favorite games. Thanks for the review!

@supark3244 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Beefier than Gloomhaven?  Better than Gloomhaven?  I respect Jeremy's opinion.  This must be a brain burn.  Seems a little overproduced at first glance.

@GirlyGamer-BoardGameGran April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Yet another fantastic review guys, thank you for all of the articulate depth you show. I've been wondering about this one, I'd love to try it, but I think it's way too big for the rest of my group also. I think they'd have an aneurysm if I laid this out on the table for game night lol. It looks fantastic though, sort of like a video game in a way. Very nice indeed.

@bloodnumber13 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Awe man… I love Trickerion. didn't know the same peps made this. . I want to try this game, but I don't want to scare my friends away, cause this looks painful to teach… honestly though, trickerion is medium weight once you get past teaching it. I would love if they put out figures for trickerion… Man that would be a cool extra…

@Thulsa13 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Great review. This game is so perfect for me. For worker placement, great variation and options in scoring with a really fantastic theme that I think ties in well with the game. I know it is early but I feel like this game should win some awards this year. If it doesn't that will be a shame.

@pennywise988 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

awesome job, guys! keep up the great work!

@jumaal-joujou7366 April 27, 2024 - 9:25 am

Great review! It does look like a giant game so I'm on the fence. Hopefully I can try it soon!
