Are we in stranglove time now😢
My favorite scene in "Lolita" is the opening, with Lolita's lovely bare foot.
A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut , and The Shinning are my favorites titles ❤
Who come hear after watching Irfan sir interview
Barry Lyndon is too low
Barry Lyndon is Kubrick's magnum opus.
Barry lyndon costumes are just wow! Natural lighting elevated the audiences attention.
A clockwork Orange is my favorite movie the Stanley Kubrick
How are you gonna do a top ten of a guy who did 13 movies? Throw in the honorable mentions, whoops we did the whole oeuvre.
2001, Barry Lyndon, A Clockwork Orange, FMJ, and Dr Strangelove will always be in my top 20
2001 is the greatest film of all time. Kubrick is the greatest director of all time hands down
What about shining???
2001 is really THE movie. i feel like it will still be iconic 100 years from now
2001 was but very slow and boring. Clock works orange is a sick story that I don’t see why anyone would watch again. Kubrick is extremely overrated sicko. Can’t wait to see Dr strange love
Wasn't the moon landing his best movie till date?
Every Kubrick Movie has an iconic Scene:
Lolita: the Bikini Reveal
Eyes Wide Shot: the Mask Cult
Paths of Glory: Trench Walk
Spartacus: "i'm Spartacus"
Barry Lyndon: Stand Off
Full Metal Jacket: Sgt. Gunners Speech
the Shinning: "Here's Johnny"
Dr. StrangeLove: Nuke Cowboy Drop
a Clockwork Orange: Mind Cleaner
2001: a Space Odyssey: the Star Child
To Much Greats, it will be Hard to even try to make a Movie Like Kubrick ever did with Material. Well let's just Try.
Barry Lyndon
If I had a known was a kiberick was when I was growing up I'd woulda thrown up your arse like a throwing star hahaha
Eyes wide shut is way too low.
I genuinely did not know Spartacus was a Kubrick film — I saw it as a replay as an 8-yr-old (20 years ago), and just enjoyed it as an amazing movie. It's ridiculous that ONE mind brought us "Open the pod bay doors, HAL… I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that" plus the monolith and the iconic soundtrack, the "I'm Spartacus. I'm Spartacus. No I'M Spartacus.", the Singing in the Rain violence montage, "Heeeeeeerrrrreee's Johnny!", and so much more film history.
Dr. Strangelove #1
Will the Moon Landing be on ere , i wonder…
My Top 6
1. 2001
2. The Shining
3. Dr. Strangelove
4. Clockwork Orange
5. Eyes Wide Shut
6. Full Metal Jacket
Nr 2 is nr 1!
Barry Lyndon is my choice and one of my all time favorites.
Spartacus should be in honourable mention. And the killing should be no.7 He was just hired director for this spectacular big budget movie. It was totally Kirk Douglas's movie. Kubrick had no vision of this.
Kubrick made 11 full length movies. His first two were about an hour. You should have done a top 11! Why leave one out?
Easily one of my favorite auteurs of all time. I don't know how I would even make a Top Films list for Kubrick. I do think I consider "2001" to be his masterwork. Then again, I sit back and suddenly think maybe it should be "The Shining." Like I said, it's a difficult process. 🙂
The man certainly had a vision. One of a handful of true greats.
My top 5
1. Paths of glory
2. 2001
3. A clockwork orange
4. Eyes wide shut
5. The shining
He's a genius Jew God bless him🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
Kubrick made the best sci fi movie ever, arguably the best horror movie ever and one of the best comedy movies ever. Legend
👀👁️ Shut3X 🚫 Finished!
A clockwork orange is deep
Eyes Wide Shut doesn't really feel old school. The film feels more modern school.
