I was never a huge fan of this franchise that LEGO made. I found it weird that they wanted to make a edgy take on their toy blocks.
I remember the figures being pretty good, but I always thought that the media associated with them and the marketing were pretty naff.
Best bit of the toys was Frankensteining them to make something original using the best parts from the different kits.
Maybe I just have a general aversion to fantasy worlds based around colour coded elements of the natural world.
It's all a bit Captain Planet, but at least him and his crew of ethnically diverse teenagers would go litter picking and try and prevent the spread of misinformation about HIV in between firing magic out of their rings
Bionicle lore is still underrated.
The only Lego product I ever enjoyed.
Looks like a game with a fantastic atmosphere, concept & environments, held back by the execution, duration & controls.
It’s a shame, but at the same time fantastic from an inspiration perspective. I’ll keep this one saved for future reference as a game designer! 😁✨
Love the videos brother!
Toa Tahu!
When cereal used to leave pc game discs in their boxes. I got to play quite a few different games and one of them was bionicle. A simple side scrolling platformer. This was around the early 2000s
Great video
Hi mate, Greeting from Australia.
I just wanted to thank you for all you that you do here keeping the original Xbox and 360 alive.
I recently picked up The Suffering and The Suffering Ties that bind for original Xbox as well as Fear 3, Fear Files and Fall of Cybertron on disc for 360
A lot of this has to do with following your recommendations on this channel and the disillusionment of current generation games and just how much love without politics was put into these old games.
Plus I needed to find a more affordable hobby than Lego collecting as that had got completely out of hand as in over $20;000 spent in less than 6 months :(.
The only upside is many of the sets went up in value.
I like to think Bionicle were the ancestors of Transformers
I remember this game with a great amount of fondness. Although I saw some of the flaws (particularly the length), I was such a Bionicle nerd, I couldn't resist it. Suppose would still be enjoyed mainly because of nostalgia. Nice review BTW!
You’re a champ for playing through this, I thought it was a bad game. It looks nice sitting next to my Bionicle gen 1 figures though.
Growing up with Halo, Star Wars and Bionicle in the early 2000s was a fun time!
What the hell is Star Wars?
Its a shame this game didnt turn out better it could've been nice to have competition for the lego games
I was always about the star wars lego and xpods. Never got into Bionical sadly
I liked collecting Bionicle. Glad I didn't waste time on this game though
I used to love Bionicle back in the day. The toys were amazing and I remember some included comic books even got me into the lore. Shame this game isn't worth playing through as I missed it growing up. Guess I'll have to stay tuned to see your review of the other Xbox Bionicle game
Talk about nostalgia, wow lol.
Bionicle needs a comeback
Awesome. Now I'm wondering if there's any neopets games on the Xbox or if they're all PS2 or GameCube exclusive
I played the hell outta this as a kid.
As someone with Bionicle nostalgia, I'll have to pick this up at some point. Good review!
Man, I loved Bionicles as a kid, the designs were so cool! Imma gonna give this one a try
