Nice reaction, but in the future could you review the lyrics before watching a performance video? you don't even have to do it on camera. I just feel like their performances are so top notch, that it's best for the focus to be on that.

This is a good performance to pick to understand this song. I'm sure people have explained who anpanman is and what he stands for. This performance was performed in GMA (if I remember correctly) for their segment featuring BTS during the height of the pandemic. So instead of picking one of their super flashy songs to promote themselves more, BTS chose this fun song to honour our pandemic anpanmans like frontliners and basically everyone who was there for others during hellish time the world was going through at that time. I guess the easiest explanation is the concept of not all superheroes wear capes and BTS was showing respect to everyone single person who stepped up to the plate to do what they could to help others.

Basically, and to sum up what is important, what the song is about is being the change you want to see in the world.
That is, instead of blaming others or looking only at the actions of others, it is better to make a change, to be the change. As they say, change starts with everyone. In one part of the song they say that this makes them afraid, and that it can also hurt and is difficult, but if they don't do it, that is, if each one of us does nothing, how is it going to get better?
Even if we don't have superpowers, we can still be "heroes" from every place where we are, even with the smallest actions, we can make a big impact.

I love this song, it is and will always be one of my favs. Although in reality, the guys have too many songs and all of them are beautiful. Not only do they cover an exorbitant variety of musical genres, but the lyrics and themes they cover are exceptional.

This song was written to the fans, the guys want us all to know thst they will put their heart and soul into their music and try to always help us in some way.

Anpan is a sweet Japanese bun. Anpan are Japanese stuffed rolls.. The soft, sweet buns are filled with a dark purple to dark brown paste made from adzuki beans.

What I think is so sweet about this performance is that it was early in the pandemic and they performed this song to honor frontline workers and give hope to people during a hard time. This song is a b side from 2018, so it was not a new release or anything they were promoting when they performed it here 💜

When you watch run BTS he was surprised by Suga's rapping and his speed I definitely think you should watch his very first video which is under his alter ego AgustD (suga & his hometown backwards DT, Diego Town) and his other songs Daechwita & Haegeum.

You basically got it! I think they meant that like how anpanman literally feeds people with his head (made of bread) since he doesn’t have ‘real’ powers, like him all they can do is give everything they’ve got to us 😊 BTS is known for being incredibly kind, genuine, and often writing songs like these directly for ARMY. There’s a lot of charity work in BTS and ARMY, a lot of self love and helping each other, and they’re always doing what they can to cheer us up and give back

I think you got a good part of it, I really love this song 🥰
It's directed towards their fans, it seems like.
They don't have superhero powers, all they can do is keep giving part of themselves through their music and being there for us.
Ballin ballin still Bangtan.
As was explained for the Run BTS song, Bangtan refers to them, and it is also literally translated to Bulletproof.
Even though may get hurt, they're still themselves, they're still wanting to take metaphorical "bullets" for us.
It was the basis for their name when started off.

Anpanman is the main character of a Japanese anime, ‘Anpanman.’ Jimin once said “Anpanman is the weakest hero in the world. He doesn’t have any supernatural power, but he’s a hero who tears off himself to give food to someone who’s hungry. We put our hearts in the song that we want to give our fans hope and energy, with our music and performances.” I think this discribes BTS and what they stand for perfectly. Loved your reaction.💜
