He was literally the only good character in the film 😂

@sixfoursoul2538 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

The Academy got this one right. Ryan’s character arc and performance was better than anybody’s eles in the movie, he should not have to pander to anybody for winning theis nomination since his character was written & directed by Gretta, he just did his job well. and as far as Margo goes, she got paid $50 million to play a plastic doll so I think she'll be just fine.

@cosmicmate April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Long live the patriarchy!

@ST-tf4sq April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

People are dumb, its movie, about story, acting, directing, cinematigraphy, editing and all movie related. No message is getting oscar man, plus literally got nominated for best picture because its woke… Nothing about it stand out.
Ken was literally everything anyone could talk about it when movie came out, he was funny, well written character and fan favorite, now people are mad he gets nominated.. ofc woke people have to be professional victims… Pathetic

@PhoenixRising82672 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Men win again Hold this L feminists

@m.g.3679 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

The outrage shouldn't be them being snubbed but RG and Barbie getting so much praise. Shows how low the movie industry has gone. Many people watched Barbie out of nostalgia, but its a plain comedy. Nothing outstanding about it

@jessesvictory April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

hilarious. Guess they're not Kenough😂

@PatientTeacher April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Nobody likes feminists, at the end of the day. And, btw, they wouldn't fight for him the same way.

@D8099. April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

If you’re white you can no longer be celebrated in woke culture. Thats now a crime. Reverse racism. Dictionary definition.

@magallanthepenguin9132 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Even men on their side. They don't every want to give a man a single win. narcissist psychopaths

@NaydenSpirdonov April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

I think Ken makes this film good and the females were just for an eye candy but no characters arcs or strive to be better just plastic feminist wet dreams

@danielfeliperodriguez4921 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Karen Gosling

@simtekgroup3080 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Oscars are really not a synonym of quality as mostly only big productions are nominated, although in the international category there's been historically good picks. Barbie is a good film but 90% of the folks complaining about this have not seen the other nominees. As usual Americans make it all about box office success.
By the way, Gerwig is a good director and writer but I've heard people saying she "revolutionized cinema"… I guess they never heard of a certain Chantal Akerman, who in the 70s was in fact actually revolutionary…

@timetodiveonin April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Stop complaining Barbie shouldn't have gotten as many nominations as it got. Besides Ryan is only complaining because he will not win and complaining about this a pathetic attempt to sway the voters to vote for Barbie in whatever category its nominated in.

@adambotelho3712 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

For once the Oscar’s got it right. Give me a break. You and America took up someone else’s Chance honestly what acting did Americas character do that was worthy of this??

@californio1850 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

The largest minority group Latinos are rarely ever nominated at awards show– and even worse, they're highly underrepresented in every aspect of the Hollywood industry including only cast in 5% of film roles despite 1 in 5 people in the US being Latino. And yet that's almost never talked about, however there's suddenly uproar when a White female director and actor are perceived to be "snubbed" even though they don't lack for opportunities and have been nominated for multiple Academy awards both at this ceremony and previous ones?

This is the problem when White feminists are allowed to dictate conversations about representation because they measure progress by how White women are doing in relation to White men even while other groups get lost in the fold. Notice how prominent White women in Hollywood always try to reduce every conversation about representation to gender because that's a line they can put themselves in front of.

@LastlyMore April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Expand the categories to make it 8 nominees. Solves everything.

@user-nh3pe2su5m April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Barbie smarbie! It if deserved the accolades I’m sure it would get it. It wasn’t the best movie, director, or even supporting actor. Get a grip Gosling you’re better than that.

@sonicchic1442 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Why do they keep saying thered be no ken without barbie!? Did they not watch their own movie. He was kenough. He didnt need to be defined by his girlfriend. So stupid.

@user-nh3pe2su5m April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Wow making a billion dollars was not enough. These whiney actors should get a new profession. Sick of it.

@JustSomeCanadianGuy April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Nobody involved with the movie wants to acknowledge maybe there’s a chance the Academy members thought there were 5 leading performances by women stronger than Margot Robbie as “Stereotypical Barbie”. 😂

@colleen4ever April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Oh SHUT UP and be thankful YOU got a nomination!! YOU were the best thing about that movie! (that and the costumes and scenery)
Take your nomination and be grateful. Robert Downey Jr is gonna beat you anyway.

@pinballpsycho April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

That Ken doll should just be happy to have escaped the tyranny of the matriarchy in reaching his quest for freedom, love and personal liberty.

@AA-qb7ni April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Ryan stole the show as Ken though. So I totally get why he was nominated.

@sarasmith9333 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

NOVIE OFFERS NOTHING AT ALL. YOU WANT TO TEACH VALUES TO KIDS BE AN EXAMPLE THEN. MARKETTIN OF A PLASTIC DOLL IS GROSS

@theresag.4188 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Ryan is a class act!

@jessicarichards8531 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

the right take.

@n.e2099 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Well said Ryan 💯

@emeraldforcier4098 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

It was a pretty stupid movie…..

@armegaz April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Of course they will win, Oscars are corrupted and is always the same people.

@christinebrown8235 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

I think we have to respect Margot for NOT being nominated. We all know what you have to do to win these days, right 😉

@Hamletshandle April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

It’s been nominated for 8 Oscars… when you look at what Greta and Margot were up against in the current nominations it’s a pretty fair outcome. I liked Barbie but most people complaining about the “snubs” haven’t even seen Zone of Interest, Poor Things or Anatomy of a Fall, and they really think Barbie’s direction was better… that’s not even mentioning the other two nominations were from Nolan and Scorsese. Oscars are just incredibly competitive this year. For cinema, this is actually a good problem to have after years of people pointing out their lack of credibility.

@carlosestes1397 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

💯💯💯🤡🤡🤡🎪🎪🎪

@nobodyhere-et3pk April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Barbie is not like any typical story. If you know what I mean. It wasnt simply about dolls. Its about womanhood. So there you go. Its the reasn why the movie is Oscar-worthy.

@alexman378 April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

Cute but a bit sad that we all know they wouldn’t do the same for him.

@nismofury April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

What do you expect him to say … haha I got the nomination you didn't haha … give me a break.

His performance was different than Margot Robbie or America or anyone else. He deserves a nom but won't win. Barbie will not win best picture.

@MissMcQueen April 20, 2024 - 3:27 am

I don't think any of the Barbie performances deserve Oscars.
