just started watching your channel, really enjoy your shows. pro isn't for me but doesn't bother me either since i will still have
access to the same library, current gen hasn't grown gaming outside of graphics yet (i love my psvr but thats a large extra expense to get it).. I see two benefits for me going forward 1.
backwards compatibility 2. not so much for me but if the previous
console iteration can play the same games as the new console this will
decrease risk for developers as their is already a market to sell to if
ps5 isnt flying of the shelves yet when it comes out.. a negative i don't like is if true
next gen doesnt sell as fast games will have to work on previous
iteration – graphics scale but not everything in games scale so we may
never have a console again that can be fully optimized for
my boyfriend is buying @LJ OLED 4k 70" HDR so why not buy a pro? also it's sad u don't know what HDR is….and 1TB is enough for 4K , the games are on a "disc" and 4K can be compressed! most 4K on YouTube and Netflix is compressed!

they should've pushed this pro thing back with Scorpio. oh well it's too late, not sure what Sony was thinking, bought an original ps4 and keeping it for the reasons I bought it in the first place. fallout 4 and last of us. ps5 will probably come out after Scorpio, so that's like 2.5 years of the pro for all the upcoming ps4 users that want a pro
i just hope all these new games like Horizon will run fine on regular ps4 and do I need pro for psvr?
I might buy an original PS4 from someone who is going to upgrade if I can get one for under $200 but honestly I'd rather just get the new Nintendo system. I play all my triple A games on PC and nothing Sony is offering exclusively really makes me feel the need to buy in to the ecosystem. I mean my PC is always going to be better in terms of horsepower so what I'm looking for is unique games. And I dont mean "exclusive" I mean genuinely unique. Maybe something will change but so far Nintendo is the only one who's exclusive games are different enough to justify buying new hardware for.
I thing if they keep doing stuff like this they are not gonna be sell alot of consoles cause the ppl are gonna wait and see if they can get something better and that's what I learned

400 bucks for a upgraded PS4 which will run faster than 30 fps and have 1080p enhanced on 1080p TVs if you don't have 4k. Boo hoo no 4k blueray for you casual gamers. 400 bucks is fuck all, just whiny kids who live with their parents who won't buy them the upgrade bitch the most. Slap a sub-par 4k on the Xbox one with a 720p scaling 4k patch and push it out the door as the Xbox one S. So you'll be buying a blueray player that happens to play games lol

I will just stick with my Atari 2600. It has way better games and graphics. LOL.
I'll stick with waiting on the NX. I'm sick of wasting money on systems that are obsolete in a year. I just want great games! Graphics are second to game play all day. if you want games that are fun to play AND look good pick the NX.
I'm a little behind Johnny. I'm on a 720p plasma still! I'll be upgrading this xmas to 1080p. Maybe 4K in about 3 years? Lol
I don't understand why all youtubers say 1tb is not enough,, bro 1 tb is a.hell lot of space on still have 200-250gb on my ps4 and I play lots of games.. bruh
If it had ultra hd disc playback then I would have bought it straight away otherwise no point for me upgrading. Having 2 versions now the devs are always going to take the cheap route and take as little advantage of the pro as possible.
games that come out playable on the ps4 pro will be capable of upscaling to 4k, whereas games that are made for the next xbox console will be native 4k, and able to upscale non 4k games to 4k

The pro is disappointing and I hope consoles don't head in this direction, but you guys are making way too big of a deal out of this.
$400 isn't that expensive at all especially when you consider that you can trade in or sell your old PS4.
I'm not defending the concept of the pro but you guys are acting like you have to buy this and like it costs $800.
Just don't buy the damn thing and vote with your wallet if you honestly don't feel as though it's worth upgrading, they aren't holding a gun to your head.
If this turns out to be successful and you guys get it despite your protests then all that does is tell Sony that you are fine with upgrading your console after a few years

If "we all wanted better graphics" we would all be gaming on the PC. That simple, if you want good graphics stop buying consoles. If you want console exclusives buy said console, but never buy a console for its graphics.

Question. Will games on a 1080p screen run 60 fps instead of 30 with the Pro version? I'm planning on buying one soon, but as a PC gamer the 60fps is the norm for me, so if I can avoid gaming at 30 fps, I might take that $100 extra dive.
Behold twas all foretold: before the end of the 2020 we will most likely have petabyte har drive devices readily available to the general public. BUt for the now, I dont need new devices. Modern tech is just useless trash part of the greater tech crawl. I will wait till the early 2020's. ^~^
HDR is supported on 10bit 1080P screens expensive. Otherwise you have to have a 4k TV that's over 1100 to 1200 dollars for a 55inch. 2016 TV. Biggest complaint is no UHD drive.
If I buy a PS4, Lite or Pro, it will get a Hybrid Drive.

Whether I purchase one or not I'm glad it's coming & I believe it will usher in a new standard for console gaming.
Im lucky I still perceive graphics from the eyes of a kid who grew up on commodore 64 and genesis. I will be impressed enough by the regular ps4 for another few years at least.
I can't wait to see a side by side comparison. We should start seeing some split screen pictures soon. Just how much "better" is it really going to be…?
The price is good only on the assumption you already have a 4K tv; add that however and the price is immense.
Ok so Sony is so retarded here.. First of all, don't they make Sony Pictures based 4K Blu-Rays .. (they would make money if people bought them).. and if you are in the Sony ecosystem, shouldn't the PS4 Pro have a 4k Blu-Ray player based on that fact alone?… and 2nd … good luck streaming @ 4K with an average internet connection anyway… buffering and downloading 4X MORE… therefore your streaming habits? multiply that by 4 if all you do is stream @ 4K… ISPs are going to love charging so much for overage of bandwidth!
