Those game cards are realy amazing 😊🎉😊
I was there mid of April this year,
tbh I was shocked by how especially the PCE prices had skyrocketed…
PC Genijn/Denjin? not below 10k
Go Go Birdie? 26k…lol no one can tell me there is such a request in an anime golf game…
Ane san 19k? ……I remember buying 3 copies each at 3000 Yen….
I find it hard to believe that the demand has risen so much during the last 4 years tbh…
I do understand Corona and no tourists having an impact. but when I was there most of the touristy people were looking for FC or SFC stuff.
PC Engine (ignoring the heavy hitters and special editions) kept a rather slow and stable price development over the past 10 years in my opinion and now it exploded.. did any big YouTuber do a special on it or what?
Awesome video! Since I am looking to add more games from Japan to my PC Engine collection as well.
Great pickups. I have to get that Jackie Chan game as well! And amazing price on Fatal Fury 2.
Turbo Everdrive might be something I will get in the future as well.
Prices have gone up quite a bit
Cool video. The everdrive turbo is the only everdrive I am missing.
11:40 MOTW & Ninja Master's Brutally IGNORED. You've just been fired from the Neo Geo cool people club =(
About 80 percent of the PCE/TG16 games I still want I have been priced out on unfortunately. Definitely a rich man’s console since a few years ago. Forced to emulate a bunch of titles although I prefer original software and hardware. You did get some decent stuff for good enough prices. I really want more Saturn and Dreamcast and Jaguar and PCE/TG16 stuff but totally out of my reach unless I’m making a disposable income.
using everdrive is for rbg piretes
Yeah!!!! MisuDo! Was that some Pokemon Donuts I saw 😉
Very pleasant tour among the PC Engine isles!
I think you did the right thing getting Jackie Chan, the price will probably not get any lower. And Fatal Fury 2 was an affordable one, if your Everdrive does work as an arcade card it’s a bargain!
God the timing of this is so perfect for me, as currently I have the fever for the flavour of the PC Engine. It's almost a relief to see that the prices are also that high in Japan, but man the market on these is fuuuuucked.
I still look out for deals because I like collecting them, but thank god for everdrives, ODEs, MiSTeR FPGA, and even emulation, giving us options to play them.
Great system. Great games. But prices have drifted far too high for my budget.
Super potato has a great selection but some of their games are PRICEY. I bought a shuttle grafx from them a long time ago, forgot it at an apt in korea…when i came back the next day it was gone. Made me very sad in the pants. T.T I do miss checking out the retro game stores. If you ever find a cheap copy of bubblegum crisis/crash, lemme know. 😀
Prices are def more expensive than when I first got into collecting PCE, but I'm honestly surprised some of them aren't more expensive. Gradius II in particular is so good, it deserves to be a $100+ game!
The shmup I recommend most on PC Engine is Rayxanber III, easier than 2 and much better. Also Sarumaru said something about a donut eating contest?
Very cool pick ups Scruffs! Jackie Chan is one of my all-time favorites. I included it in my 5 PC Engine games I always come back to video as well. I also picked up my Turbo Everdrive Pro today from the post office! Unfortunately I don't think I'll have time to mess with it since I'm leaving to Japan on Monday 😅 I love these videos especially when the PC Engine is involved 😁
Donuts!!!!!!!!!!
Sad to see that most of those places now charge more than ebay. Auction ending prices that is. Fatal Fury 2, Street Fighter, and Jackie Chan were the only deals.
Finally ! 😅nice grab on that jackie chan . Japan 🇯🇵 here i come next week 🍺🥃
500 yen for Garou Densetsu 2? Ya damned right that is pick up worthy! As for that Rastan Saga, it is the second game, the absolute worst of the trilogy, avoid like the plague.
Detana Twinbee on the PCE is a good port, the problem is, two stages have been cut from the arcade original, definitely not worth the prices they are asking for it though. Just get Twinbee Deluxe Pack for PS1, or Saturn if you want a close to perfect port. That pack also has Twinbee Yahho, which is an awesome game. Also spotted an expensive as hell Wonder Momo (good port, but almost 5,000 yen, yikes), and a stupidly expensive hucard only Tower of Druaga (the best port of the game due to Namco pretty much redoing the entire game to look more modern) for almost 9,000 yen.
14:46, I'll pass on the donoffee.
😉😜
Wow. Inflation is real.
Great content as always! How much do PC engines usually go for?
Well done on getting Jackie Chan. I bought it a year ago or so, but I don't have a system to play it on yet. I found this video interesting because although I am not in the market for PCE it is a system that I have a little curiosity about. Those prices though. I've got about $4000 dollars on my wanted list without PCE stuff adding on to it. I guess when I come over I'll buy a bit on my list, but a whole lot that isn't based on whats there at the time. I'm doing Super Potato last when I get there, I'm sure most of what I want will be in the other stores. Thanks for the video.
