Nice mullet and a great video. I'm just getting started in 2d top down and I have ALOT to learn.

Excuse me, could you explain to me how you manage the cameras in the topdown, platforms and in the game blast Bash... I saw that you applied navmesh to your models with AI, I am interested in seeing examples of how to orient the assets, in 2D games within unreal, the advantages and Disadvantages of each form of orientation.

Hi, do you do coding commissions? I’m having a hard time figuring lightning for a sprite game I’m working on
@BOOwF April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
what do you use to make sprites? im thinking of using Piskel.
@nazhd9237 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Hi, nice video ! Do you know How to make my character goes just in 2 axes and don’t walk diagonally ?
@patjobs April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
It would be great to see a full in depth tutorial on getting started with 2D top down in UE. There isn't a lot of resources I can find for it.

This is awesome! Do you think that you can make a tujtorial related to 2D top down games on unity?
@asd-hw8yl April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Just curious, how did you make the component for the draw order? Would like to do it myself but could you throw me a hint?
@Pierre-tm7wo April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
I saw your video and i have a question : it's about how you did the effect to block the camera in a certain area ?
Im actually making a game and i want to know how you do it.
@miguelcarrizo3825 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Hi! that's awesome, can you pls tell me how do you make the 8 direction animation? i want to do the same but i don't know how :c
@CasticDigital April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
the intro music was so loud it hurt my ears, but after it was over i had to turn the volume up because the rest of your videos audio was extremely quite in comparison.
@EmoDaisy April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Love the video! How did you get your top down game to have wasd/gamepad support? I can't figure it out for unreal
@giulios.8587 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Hi !Great ideas, I especially like the topdown concept ! do you think I could use your cute sprite that rolls in 8 direction , for studying?...I think I'd really like to add to that the walk/run cycles...
@VerySleepyzZzZz April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
I love your videos, But it still feels wrong to me making a 2d game in unreal
@planetaryashes April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
hey man i saw that video and gave your game go, i've been looking to make beat em' up games but never though it's a top down genre. looks pretty awesome man.
@snooperx2850 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
How did you get the sprite into UE4 without it being all blurry I'm struggling to get an image that is 32x32 into UE4 without it being blurry PLZ HELP.
@kendrickbrofar7936 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
What do you use and how do i make the image size the right one cauae they said mine was too small
@DATECStudio April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Very nice, thanks
@JayJay-ki4mi April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Good stuff, but in my honest opinion these sorts of games are better suited to Unity, Godot or Game Maker 2. I know people laugh at Game Maker, but it's an advanced engine for 2D. You can even load your own DLL's with GM2.
@goatyqt4553 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Nice! I love your accent, I bet it's from Quebec.
@johnedraisa April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
would it be possible for you to make a tutorial on the 8 directional animation section of this video? i have one down but im unsure if decent enough XD, also hop to see more videos in the future
@Yntoxicboy. April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Tutorials please!
@agahnim0196 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Hey! Awesome stuff! Quick question about the camera though...

Did you manage to setup a systemic dynamic camera swipe when exiting your room (forest)? I'm desperately trying to setup a Zelda dungeon camera that stops before crossing a room's wall, but then swipes to the next room when the player crosses the door frame... ever made something like that?
@SidFish April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Great video! Interesting to see the inner workings of a 2D game in Unreal.
@emiliasmith8475 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Solid vid!
@jmgames6628 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Nice video and great work on the games! Unreal seems like overkill for 2D stuff though, how does it run compared to other engines, is it comparable at least?
@souldatrickster1828 April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Ayyee awesome first video, I remember trying one of your games in the IndieTales jam and had a blast. Can’t wait for this one
@WannibeManisha April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Your games are so good! Great video, keep up the awesome work :D
@HelperWesley April 19, 2024 - 1:07 pm
Top notch content! Best video ever! I know this cool lad!
