I did watch the Passion of the Christ 2x (Since my Elementary and Junior high school) days and I regert how I felt the pain and struggles of Jesus Christ.
I think that Requiem for a Dream should be shown to people who have done drugs, especially those who currently are using drugs. I remember my parents watching it on tv but I never watched it full. I saw "The boy with the Striped Pajamas" years ago but not whole until my world history class like many of people here. It was so sad and the mom's cry haunts me, it made me so mad and sad at the same time. Also, the top movies I won't watch them till I am finally at my peak mental state tbh.
do not watch requiem that shit fucks you up
I only watched passion of the Christ once. Never again. It's too sad and disturbing.
Lilja 4-ever should be on this list, period.
Mysterious skin
The acting in Precious is incredible. I watched it with my mum and we both said that we had never seen a film that felt so real, like you were watching actual footage from a persons life.
come and see you can this movie only one watch
For me Schindler's list, Passion of Christ, Martyrs and green mile. Also human centipede 2 and Antichrist. Can't watch any of these twice. For disgusting movies both salo and Serbian film were disgusting, but the Serbian film had a fantastic ending.
I've watched thousands of movies. 'Hachi' is the only movie that made me cry like a baby. I cried for half an hour and was depressed for two days after watching it.
I'm not good with tragedies. The anime grave of the fireflies made me so sad and kept on tearing up whenever i thought about the movie even after months or years or even NOW . And now seeing that it's only on number 9 list , i don't think i can be capable enough to watch the other movies ranked higher.
I remember "What Dreams May Come" to be a very tough watch, but I think it ends well.
YOU ALL NEED TO WATCH HYPERNORMALISATION BY CURTIS. PROVES THEY MAKE THESE FILMS FOR 2 REASONS – ONE – WE BUY MORE WHEN WERE DEPRESSED. TWO – WE COPY WHAT WE SEE AND THEY DONT WANT FAMILIES TO BE POSITIVE AND UNITED – WHY? DIVIDE AND CONQUER. LEARN WHAT THE PURPOSE OF ALL THESE DEPRESSING MOVIES IS ABOUT IN " HYPERNORMALISATION" THE FIRST ONE IS THE BEST.
You forgot about The Road starring Vigo Mortison
one that made me ball my eyes out was the strange thing about the Johnson’s. even though its short its so sad
into the wild made me cry so hard that i had existential crisis and that movie is not even on the list .
Also I would put the Film "Lovely Bones" on this list
I seen most of these movies at school in history class and they get you to think a lot about history. One thing is to read about it another one is to watch it. The boy in the striped pajamas and a beautiful life hit me hard. Especially hotel Rwanda, that was heavy but I’m still kinda glad that my teachers made use watch them since I learned a lot more about history and that we need to understand to change
I watched Grave of the Fireflies some time ago. Easily one of the best and saddest pieces of anime ever created!
Grave of a firelies !!! Naiyak ako dyan sobra naawa ako sa mga bata
This is a great list of incredible movies, but I am quite surprised that "The Road" isn't mentioned.
I have been emotionally numb for a while. nothing affects me. i just need a good cry before i face the year. based on the comments, i'll go watch hachi a dog's tale.
"She never woke up" grave of the fireflies
What about clouds it’s so sad
