This list is close but I disagree with some of the choices. No way “Smooth Criminal “ should have been at #10.
No *Nsync? This list is drastically lacking…
Even Lmfao deserves a shoutout!
As long as Triller is at nr 1, I'm ok with your picks😊❤
I mean this list is a joke right? The top 20 are all Michael Jackson videos and then comes anything else.
The great Hollywood dancers, such as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly often danced with no editing, and were shown full figure. I cannot watch a dance video with tons of switching back-and-forth. Beyoncé did a great job in Single Ladies by dancing without an edit. Michael Jackson, Janet, Jackson, Paula Abdul have great videos because they allow the viewers to come into the dance with them.
It feels like Shakira (probably Hips Don't Lie but several other possibilities) and Destiny's Child (yes I realize Beyonce is on the list on her own) should have at least gotten an honorable mention. I also remember Pat Benetar's Love is a Battlefield being something I danced with as a teenager.
MJ Ghost and Remember the time suppose to be here. Meanwhile no Usher and Chris
DISGUSTING !!!!
Except Pink's powerful choreo, and Gaga's video, the rest haven't anything impressive or original.
Great picks for 20 twenty.
Surprised that "Elastic Heart" by Sia made this list and not "Chandelier". Also surprised to not see "Sorry" by Justin Bieber, the dancing in that is sick.
MOJO talks too much…more video timr
Who else thinks Nails Hair Hips Heels should also be on this list?
It seems like at the beginning you're focusing on people who aren't really doing a lot of fancy dance.
Nope
How can Janet Jackson’s Pleasure Principle not be included on this list?!?! I love the choreography in that video and used to try and dance along when I was younger.
All of these are great.
One question
You know BTS?
Janet Jackson's Rythm Nation 1814 is the best choreographed music video in the history of modern music
Zendaya "Replay"?
Janet Jackson?
I thought it was just going to be the nastiest sex dance videos. They finally broke MJ in.
Most are obscene!
Beat it???????? Come on
I completely disagree with the first third. Great vids but not top 20 by any means.
Thriller didn't just break the mold for what music video's were capable or and what good choreography was capable of… it shattered it. I'm not exaggerating when I say Thriller had as big an impact on how music is 'delivered' as the move to FM radio from AM and getting 'stereo' into the lexicon. Just as an aside… Smooth Criminal is 10th? Umm…. no. Essentially the list should be 'Michael Jackson and everyone else fighting for the remaining spots'. Recall when Smooth Criminal came out in 1988…nobody… and I mean NOBODY was even attempting to play at this level at the time except Michael. So essentially this list should look like:
1.) Thriller – Michael Jackson
2.) Smooth Criminal – Michael Jackson
3.) Beat It – Michael Jackson
4.) Bad – Michael Jackson
and then probably some of Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson and Madonna in whatever order you want… then everybody else.
UP TOWN FUNK was fun. The others bordered on disgusting.
Beyonce is racist.
NO NO NO NO NO AND NO! Gaga s Bad Romance is far from being better than Smooth Criminal neither is Britney s
Where is Chris Brown?¿???
Is that Marlon Jackson dancing as a backup dancer on Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk?
Bruno Mars has more talent in his little finger than all these other people put together.
But baby one more time is better than oops I did it again actually.
there is no way not a single usher or chris brown song is in here
a lot of talking and little music.
I love Beyoncé and I feel she has been snubbed for record of the year but the people who support her keep putting down others wins and negate the winner ny constantly bringing it up.
Uptown Funk makes you want to jump out of your chair and sing along as loud as you can!
Huh, thought Weapons of Choice would be on there somewhere.
Where the potatoes is "Gangnam style"? It broke records!
JANET and MJ ALL THE WAY. RYTHM NATION AND SMOOTH CRIMINAL. WHEW! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Paula too!! Fav video!
Thriller and Rhythm Nation are THE BEST videos that were and will ever be made.
But the third place should have really been MJ's "Remember the Time".
The Jackson signature dance moves deserve the top 3. Period.
Ps1/Michael, Janet, and Madonna could perfectly be on the top 15 by themselves.
Ps2/Most of the videos have list have another thing in common (aside from their great choreos): they really conveyed what the songs meant, without over exposed symbols, propaganda, or agendas hidden in plain sight. Just good music with visuals and dance moves that meant what the song said.
Long gone good old days…
NO!!!
As a teen, dance clubs were really popular. The night that the Thriller video premiered, no one danced during the video. We all sat down on the dance floor and watched this amazing choreographed and entertaining video. ❤ good memories
Mias case of the ex was good. There are so many though. I think this should be renamed most iconic instead od best. I think from 80s onwards big group dances became a thing but where only remembered if done by no 1 stars but now its about if a dance routine ends up on tik tok as a measurement of whether its good or not. What about dentinys child jumpin jumpin dance thats a good one
Upton Funk …Yeah, the best!!!!w
What a joke – some really lame western mvs but not a single K-pop artist?
