Realtime gameplay at the end of the video!
I started messing around with a small horror game in Unreal Engine 5 after finding a pack that included a nice, simple first person controller and flashlight setup.
For this video I start to design a horror themed map to start testing out mechanics and to create a really atmospheric horror scene, going for a sort of resident evil meets portal vibe. Be sure to leave a like and subscribe to see more creative content like this coming soon 🙂

This was a beautiful video! I enjoyed that 😊
You should put a tick instead of X as X means no
yo bro how can i download this level i am an indie game developer making a horror game and this would be a perfect fit for the game I am working on.
It’s actually super easy to add a flashlight in ue5
random but the voice is nice.
there is a v2 for 4 dollars that is better btw
Hello, I love your videos. I'm new to UE5 and I'm looking to learn and understand. Do you think it is possible to share your files? I know some people do it through a Patreon. I am sure you will be successful. Or otherwise via Discord and Paypal. Your level of horror interests me a lot to understand what you use and how you place it. Thank you very much in advance.
Can you PLEASE tell me how did u do the box to make a door in a wall trick? Would appreciate that ❤
this was amazing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
how long did this take?
This is great. You may have mentioned it in the video, and I just missed it, but what GI are you using? When using Lumen, I run into an issue with lights that you don't seem to have. For example, if I shine a flashlight at a wall or corner, then turn it off, there's some light ghosting that fades over the course of around 2 seconds. I've tried increasing the Update Speed for Lumen, but it doesn't seem to change anything. If you are using Lumen, how did you get around this issue? Keep up the awesome work! (:
can you tell me the best marketplace for assets that are free or small price, great vid btw
Bro pls answer what assets are those cause im desperate XD
9:34 how do you fix that crash, mine crashed randomly and the crash report is the same as yours.. after that it crashes everytime i open my project
i should of kept learning how to do this back in high school, i used to create 3D art on Bryce
very good game and looks very good
Awesome!!!
It's just amazing, we love it!
As someone who's learning how to do similar work, this was a really great first video showing how Unreal Engine works, Great video and keep it up!
this gives off more of a horror vibe image you makeing a full on horror game model and inputting it into this with the AI it would be NIGHTMARE FUL but i love your work dude
its not free
I always wanted to make a horror game inspired by the dark pictures using meta human and unreal engine, a game about choice making and having complete strangers being trapped by relentless serials killers.
AHhgnngc it’s been my dream to make a horror game, but I always get super discouraged when I see how complicated it is sometimes
I love this, the environment tells a story and is pretty bone chilling. The use of assets is great as they all blend together really well. I'm trying to make something similar but with a house and this has given me major inspiration!
That's some amazing level design. Could you tell me where you got those IndustrialArea props? They look amazing
I use horror engine
amazing i need to make a horror game
What software do you use for reference
To learn more blueprint for game mechanics I highly recommend Matt Aspland. He has dozens of to-the-point videos, many useful for horror games.
Hey! I had a quick question. Are the 3D assets you used free with Unreal Engine 5 or did you have to dowload them for extra cost?
i have a reccomendation, and this goes for really any horror/lifelike game. Make all the doors be able to be opened/closed, but for doors that you dont want to be opened, board it off. Dont add a padlock or something, it may confuse some people "where is the key?"
It's level art, not LD 🙂 But nice work
It looks sick! A scary effect would be if the ball jumped up towards you when you got close enough and then the screen just turns black. I would've sh!t my pants if I saw it for the first time
