Bro the hatefull eigth should be on the top there is references to the game escaping from a snow storm like the begining of the game, the movie is divided by chapters exacly like the game and the way morgan freeman blow that mexican head off like in the game

John Ford's film about the wild west meeting progress in the form of the new lawyer come to town and statehood arriving as well,which the cattle barons did NOT want.

Missed out butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid film. First part of the film with the train robbery that happened in Rdr2 aswell.

I am just about to watch The Long Riders right now. I don't know why people never mention it. I remember it was only Outlaw/ Western movie I liked as a kid. 3 sets of real life brothers in 1 film the Carradines the Keaches & Quaids it's a classic.

Sad that butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid wasn’t even an honourable mention. I noticed parallels between Dutch and Arthur with butch and Sundance. There’s also a scene in red dead where they rob a train and it’s basically taken from that movie

I went on a western binge while I was on vacation in December.

If you wanna watch something that feels like RDR 2, in terms of environment, atmosphere, architecture and breeze, I recommend:

- The Outlaw Josey Wales
- Pale Rider
- Tombstone
- Lonesome Dove
- McCabe and Mrs. Miller
- 3:10 to Yuma
- Unforgiven

Now, if you wanna watch something that feels like RDR 2, in terms of Story and some other elements, like dialogs, I recommend:

- Once Upon a Time in the West
- The Hateful Eight
- The Wild Bunch
- Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid

Of course there are some very good other western movies, but I didn't put them on the list because you don't feel like RDR 2.
